Can you request early resolution after requesting a trial?

Unread post by zopiclone »

Long story short: Charge is disobey stop sign. I've had 2 court appearances. First one I requested an ajournment. Second one I was ready to proceed to trial but the officer was not there so the JOP set new trial date (rather than withdraw the charge). Something has come up and I will not likely be able to make the trial date. Short of hiring someone, I do not know anyone else who can appear in court on my behalf. Can I request 'early resolution' in this instance to resolve the matter before the new trial date? Do I contact the courthouse or the prosecutor's office at the courthouse?

No. Early Res is no longer an option. Surprised that that case didn't get tossed on the 2nd trial day
