Re: BAC above Zero

The instrument actually gives a number between 0-.39, This is regarded as a pass
A is between 4-99 This number is not returned just the letter. (technically 80 and above is threshold for charges but in Ontario this still returns an A)
F is 100 and above = trip to approved breathalyzer

Three tries is not unusual. Could be he stopped blowing or ...

Re: BAC above Zero

I wondered about the 3 tries to get any reading.
I can only guess but is "A" for alcohol present?(he said G2)
I thought it was kinda like a white,yellow,red.(pass/warn/fail)

I think he should have asked for a second test, if there were only 2 beers involved.

That 3 tries stumps me or is it " blow harder" to get the reading?(til 3rd worked ...

Re: Is officer required to be present if I intend to plead g

I'm contesting a speeding ticket which has already been reduced to no demerit points and have a court hearing coming soon. Now I'm afraid that if I challenge this in court, there is a possibility that they may amend the charge and if I lose, I'll end up with demerit points. I certainly don't want to take that chance. On the other hand, if the ...

Re: Question about Red light cameras and possible ticket err

As to signs no it does not matter if they are there or not.

The other question, is of interest.
You were crossing Steeles going south?
The center of steeles is the border N/S (or where is the border at the spot you crossed?)

Could be some jurisdiction issues .
We need more info.

Re: Charged with wrong offence: HTA 62(11) instead of HTA 62

1. What are the chances of getting this dropped by a JoP based on the incorrect offense?
2. Is HTA 62(19) a significantly higher fine and the cop was "helping me out"?
3. I also blew a .50: a 3-day suspension. I know it's stupid and I'm not here to debate or defend that I was in the wrong, because I know I was. Does this have any bearing on the ...

Re: My observations at traffic court in Markham

Hey Me Again

It has been 25 years since I had my Kawasaki and lots of tickets.

Back then I would go and watch as well.

You do not need to report in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at the start.
Make sure your name is on the list.(at front door)

They call to ask what everyone wants to plead.

You say nothing.

They do all the other people.
Then they ...

Re: Notice of Impending Conviction

Ticket date to due date, in your case seems to be over 36 days?

If you are only a few days off to reply they will let it pass.
If you have the time just fill in the challenge form.

Cheers

Re: Notice of Impending Conviction

You must reply before the due date.
Either pay it or ask for a trial date.
If you do neither you are guilty and can expect $20.00 added to the amount.

Re: New Case Law - Game Changer - Speeding

The paralegals will hate this, but the latest case law, which was reviewed in Ontario Court, to be published soon...

If a police officer issues a speeding ticket, put the proper fine but omits the actual speeds on the ticket, you can and will be convicted as the speed noted itself is not required to convict you of speeding. The infraction of ...

Re: charged with 119 km in an 80 Km while passing....

Travelling north on Hwy 41 coming into Nappanee. Followed a car that was driving very erratically for approximately 8 km - all over road and driving between 60-70 km. Directly before you come into Nappanee there is a very short passing lane (500-600 metres). Straight stretch of road but you are coming into an oncoming hill. Of note there are no ...

Re: Parking in A fire route ticket in a empty mall at 12am

So I am pretty sure there is nothing I can do, and it will save me a headache if I just pay the ticket and move on with my life.

Here's my story to share:

I was in Missisauga on Dixie road looking for a ABM, found one in an EMPTY mall parking lot, pulled up to the curb ran in and was out in 2-3 minutes.

An unmarked vehicle pulled up as I walked ...

Re: Improper right turn, 141(2)

So I was going down university and just going up the ramp to gardiner, and I get pulled over for an improper right turn.
I was in the passing lane on university and i tried to get into the right turn lane just before the intersection. The person beside me gave me way, and I turned. Given my luck, there was a cop standing at the ramp and he pulls ...

Re: What's up with motorized vehicles that are not licenced?

I searched but could not retrieve a satisfactory answer.

It seems matter-of-fact that all sorts of work equipment, namely backhoes, loaders and other similar mororized vehicles without licence plates, sometimes equipped with a slow moving vehicle sign, often not, some with an amber beacon, some without, are encountered on a highway, travelling ...

Re: Doughnuts in an empty parking lot = stunting?

I'm not to sure about this, but every-time we get our first snow fall I like to go out and test my car in an empty parking lot to get used to handling it on snow and ice. I won't lie, but it's also fun, but I feel it leaves me more aware of how my car is going to handle on snow/ice.

If a cop see's me doing this, am I at risk of a 'stunting ...
