Re: 1 way street what is it?

I finally got my notice to appear.
September 2009.

I went back to the scene and took a few pictures.

My !@3#4$(0_+ camera resets the date every time I re-charge the batteries.

I did not know this.

The pictures I took have the date 2005 on them.

Can this be an issue?
The date stamp I mean.

Re: Remember those annoying Sylvania light bulbs commercials?

As to safety.

When you use low-beam the top of the beam should just touch the top of the plate on the car in front of you..

Re: ParkingTickets.TO

[I am a courier so they usually just delete most of my tickets.I have some that are over 3 years with no court date or response.

I think I could go in and check after 3 or more years and get them to delete them.

Re: ParkingTickets.TO

Just don't be so lazy or cheap and park where you are supposed to.

Saves the 6 bucks and/or 50 cents and the ticket

Watching parking wars on TV. One guy gets a ticket every day...to park legally it was $26 bucks for a day, but a parking ticket (if tagged) was only $21

In my opinion the lazy person is the one who uses visa and ...

The last time I went to do that I had to pay .50$ in the meter.
That is minimum.
Then you add on time and other bs $6.00 is not bad

Re: proper procedure

Hey knowjus''

The other day I was driving past 1 of those speed signs.
They have the posted speed then your speed.
(not sure what kind of radar it is)
I was looking for street # "so I was slow"
The speed changed a lot on the sign because it is hard to get a single car zeroed in.

It may depend on how many other cars were around you.

It may be a ...

Re: Proposed Graduated License Changes

I think the biggest problem is the youngsters see what we do way before they can ever drive a car.

They see "when they are going to school" cars just slowing for stop signs etc.

The parent gets caught speeding, and the story about the bad cop.(loss of respect)

School buses hell bent to get where-ever they go.

Lots of bad habits learned before ...

citizens arrest is good anywhere.

I kinda started this thread to see if anyone else has used this method to deal with mistakes on tickets?

Stories are good too.

Have a great day

(1980)
6 of us cruisin' the streets of Collingwood in my buddies hotrodded Dodge van. We stop at the beer store and each grab a case of beer. Each case gets ripped open and one beer removed and half consumed before being pulled over.

6 full cases of beer confiscated. All escorted in cruisers to the police station parking lot where one cop has ...

Re: parking ticket

That,s what makes me go hummmmmm.

I was in a no parking spot no question.

The paid parking part starts about 15 feet from the curb.

also I am a courier and am allowed to park in any code 5 violation
for up to 10 minutes.

My concern is the 9 meters from the roadway?

Many spots are allowed with-in 9 meters of roadway.

I don't know maybe ...

Late seventies

Up until 78 I had just slow cars etc with no problem with speeding.

Then I got a 900 Kawasaki.

Back then if a cop tried to catch me I was out of his normal area if
he caught up to me.

Often it was in another city or town.(by then)

At that time if you objected to the charge it would be dropped.(needs mistake)
(had to be before they said anything ...

parking ticket

I have had something close to 500 parking tickets so I am good at parking in no parking places.

The last one I got is a bit of a puzzle.

North York
No parking within 9 meters of a crossing road.

I was about an inch from the edge of the sidewalk so I did it.

What confuses me is the 9 meters thing.

The paid parking starts at a car length from ...

Re: Speeding and fail to have insurance card.

I have not been to traffic court for over 10 years.
The last time I was there you had to::;;

After they call your name and you go up and say here your honour.

You object!!
make it stick.
Then say you never had a 2009 car.

You have to it as soon as you have said you are there or it does not work.

What happens is they loose jurisdiction.

I have almost wiped out 3-4 of bikers that do what you did.Joggers can be bad too.

If there is no rule then just think!
You were most likely going the wrong way and speeding on a sidewalk.

Fight the ticket!

I think you know better now.

Re: 1 way street what is it?

It's been awhile since I parked on Emily (I used to work near there 10 years ago. I don't think it's changed since then.) Emily is unusual in that it is a small street and it becomes one way just north of the loading zone on the south end of it. So the the north 2/3 part of the street is one way, the south 1/3 part is 2 way. That's why there are ...

Re: Disobey stop sign - Fail to stop HTA 136(1)(a)

European countries are removing ALL traffic signs and allowing people to police themselves. It has reduced accidents because you must now be aware of what your doing instead of relying on signs to control you.

In Crete they turn off the traffic lights on the weekends.
I mean like blackout off.

It worked great every intersection was a yield ...

Re: 1 way street what is it?

Some one way streets have laneways that cross them in the middle of the one way street, but there is no one way sign when you exit the laneway onto the street.

Thus if youre not aware it is an one way street, you could turn the wrong way when exiting the laneway and only realize after youre on the street that all the cars parked on both sides of ...

Google map 180 wellington street west toronto.(you will see emily to the right)
The streets nearby (wellington, simcoe, adailade etc all have the one-way arrows.

Emily does not.

1 way street what is it?

Emily street in Toronto has a 1-way sign at the end near king street.

I was about half way up and did a 3 point turn.(the cop said that)
There are no do not enter sign.s on the street.

Only the 1-way at the king street entrance.

What is the definition off a 1-way street.

I am going for disscloser tomorrow.

Any help
Thanks
