Hi,
I was charged with careless driving for a one-vehicle accident, and would like to know how to go about pleading not guilty. I was driving on a rural road at night in an 80 kmh zone. I was driving up a hill. At the top of the hill is a 90 degree turn sign (no stop sign, no kmh posted). I hit the brakes too late, and because the road goes ...

Re: Parking 3M of Firehydrant
Hi,
I got this ticket last year in toronto and received court date recently.
Basically I parket on a street where there are marked spots for car parking but they were all faded with only the white edges showing. I assumed I was in the correct spot when I got out. I never noticed the fire hydrant in the bushes.

Re: Ticketed for 101km/h in 60km/h in driveway
It's 11:00PM on June summer night 2010. I made a left turned from 50km/h zone (Road A) to 60 km/h (Road B) safely on green light. As soon as I made the turn I see that the next traffic lights are red so I rolled off the throttle and cruised in right lane. Light turned green and I see two cars in both lanes pulling away from me. I maintain my ...

I have at least 10 tickets that I asked for trial on.(Toronto Markham road court)
I have received no response on any of them.
It is now over 4 years for that bunch.
Do these just disappear after so long?
Thanks for the help.

As to your original Q?
"if any-one knows different (please answer)"
1RST What kind of cop gave you the ticket?
2nd
I just found that the (traffic safety police) can give you a ticket for almost anything.(parking too).
3RD
Those points on cvor are really add to insurance cost.

Re: At what point do I argue financial hardship?
If you plead guilty they will be happy to give you time to pay.
Good for reduced fine as well.
Explain your hardship and ask for a time/frame that you can meet.
I.E: $33.00 per month till paid.
You must follow then plan though or you will be in trouble.

I tried to copy the "event" today.
I was going 40 kph and slowed to 25kph.
My foot was over the brake to slow down.

It took me less then 1 small car length to stop.(just over 2 meters.)
I would think anyone nearing a red light would have their foot on the brake already.
It would be an "abrupt" stop but it is easy to do ...

You were most likely trying to pass the person.
The person was most likely trying to get to the right so you could pass.
As far as I know the leader in the turn lane can choose what-ever lane they want.
You are in the wrong just pick option 3 and hope.
