Hi everyone, I received a "disobey stop sign - fail to stop" section 136(1)(a) ticket from a police officer sitting off to the side of a perpendicular street to the on I was on...I believe I did stop even if it was for a second I don't have any tickets like this before now but it is essentially the officer's word vs mine & the officer appeared to be a young and new officer Can any of you recommend a paralegal to help prepare for trial for this or to negotiate with the prosecutor on my behalf? To me a win would be a non-HTA ticket or a dismissal at trial (withdraw ticket), just lowering demerit points or reducing the ticket to a "disobey sign ticket" is NOT a win for me as my insurance still goes up because it is convictions not demerit points that raise your insurance premiums....The trial would take place in a Hamilton court Anyone work with Greg Eschweiler (trafficstop.ca) , Frank Alfano (http://www.trafficticketparalegal.com/o ... nk-alfano/ or http://www.wejustwin.ca/frank-alfano-paralegal.html ) , Jackie Manzon (thetrafficlawyers.ca , ticketdefenders.ca ) or Amber Smart (http://www.trafficticketparalegal.com/our-team/ http://www.smarttrafficdefence.com/about-us/ ) or worked with anyone at those firms? can you recommend any others that would be good to work with for Hamilton court? what about other firms like POINTTS, etc Are any of these paralegals good at being prepared for court or good at negotiating (more than just lowering demerit points or to a "disobey sign" because I could probably do that) with prosecutors? Do you know what the prosecutors are like in the Hamilton courts? are they tough when sitting on the stand? I appreciate your input as I am new at this

I used a company called Mg legal services. They got my charged dropped completely. I don't know whats the background with your charge but they did a good job. They did take a little while (with adjournments) but it was a flat fee and at the end it all worked out. That's who I suggest. Im pretty sure they deal with all of Ontario, you might want to give them a call.

I was charged for disobey sign (no left turn) in a winter noon time around Bay/Edward (the prosecutor/judge said it to be a Absolute liability offences but disobey sign is actually a strict liability offence, right? And I found this: For example, if you made an illegal left-turn where there were…

I was driving north on Bathurst and turned left onto a side street into a residential area before hitting the lights at Eglinton and Bathurst. I normally do this to avoid the big line up to turn left onto Eglinton.
On the 400 extension EB towards Barrie cops like to hide out under an over pass that is Ski Trails Rd. They tag people as the come over the crest of the hill and that is 900m from where this officer was standing.
I'm confused because I knew this, saw the cop, and checked my…
I was making a left hand legal turn on a green light, a driver came through the lane I was supposed to be going into ran the red and hit me head on as I was turning into my lane. When the officer came he was telling me that I was racing and driving recklessly because apparently there was reports of…
Today i got caught doing 115 in a 90 at Mayfield and 410 and what I have been reading is that this offence is 3 points. Seeing this is my first offence I'm unsure if the ticket is supposed to I lost 3 points or is that just automatic. Also should I go to fight it to drop the points and just pay the…
I was (recently) involved in a traffic accident where, due to icy road conditions, I slid into oncoming traffic while making a right turn, while they were coming towards me and stopping at a stop sign. This was a residential area and there's no way I was exceeding anything over 20KM/h on…
