Fine displayed on paytickets.ca is different than on ticket

Unread post by rickb »

Hi, I got a ticket for 20 over (was doing 30, officer marked it down) and am trying to pay on paytickets.ca. The fine shown on my ticket is $95, however, the fine displayed at paytickets.ca is 141.75 (after 3 dollar service charge). How do I pay my ticket? Am I responsible for the full amount, or just what the officer wrote on the ticket. Thank you in advance, Rick

Seems as though the amount online is incorrect. The correct fine for 20 over (not in a community safety zone, mind you) is $95 total payable. You'll likely have to call the courthouse phone # on the back of the ticket and talk to them about it. Likely what happened is that it was input wrong into their computer.

NOTHING I SAY ON HERE IS LEGAL ADVICE.
