79km In 60km Zone- Speeding Ticket

i got a speeding ticket in 60 zone while i was driving 79 kmp the officer show me in raddar . i got fine only 62$ and he didnt tell me if i lost any point or not can u guyz tell me if they reduse ur dermit point wil it be written in the ticket or they say or what can u guyz tell me thanks .

Demerit points are not written on the ticket. For 19 km/h over the limit, you would get 3 demerit points. There is a link at the very bottom of this page to the Demerit Points Table.


You only get demerit points if you are convicted or plead guilty. If you are found not guilty or the charge is dropped, then, obviously, you wouldn't get demerit points. Also, you could plea-bargain to speeding 15 km/h over the limit (75 in a 60), and this would give you 0 demerit points, if that's what you're concerned about.
