If a police gave you a ticket for 'knowingly use false insurance card' and he summons you for court and you know the address on the insurance card isn't your real address but from a far remote small town address (due to local address pricing), is this a big offense? What am I expecting as penalties?
The auto insurance is active so just a thought, if I went to court and say it's my real address (friends live there), is this a bad idea?
Yes. If you were caught lying in Court, you could face Criminal charges in addition to being found guilty of your current offence.mike232 wrote:The auto insurance is active so just a thought, if I went to court and say it's my real address (friends live there), is this a bad idea?
So I guess I better correct my address now so when Im in court, all info and documents are legit. What do you think of my penalties for using wrong address on auto insurance and drivers license?
