Any good tailgaters?
When did you get the Accent? I thought you had a Civic.

The BMW that edged by on the right was sitting on our tail until my wife moved to the centre lane to let him by. He wouldn't move left, so she did.

The Accent's a rental. You thought correctly, I do have a Civic... but my wife's Saturn was in the repair shop for some transmission work, and the Civic is getting the body work done (hit & run repaired)... should have it back today. ![]()
Re: 401 in Toronto with light traffic
Ouch, I didn't know your hit-and-run was recent. Was this the one on the front bumper?
(Grr, quoting my typo, now I can't fix it.)
Re: 401 in Toronto with light traffic
Well, they were several months ago, I just covered them up with spray paint as a temporary fix. Damage = Front bumper + right quarter panel (two separate incidents). Plus, scratch to hood - was entering an underground parking garage when I lived in Windsor, ramp was angled, roads were a bit slushy but okay, entered the ramp which was a skating rink, hit brakes, car kept sliding, I managed to hit the button to open the garage door - only it was a split-second too late and bottom of the door gouged my hood.
Got the car back yesterday from the shop. Looks like a brand new car. ![]()
Also... proves the value of getting several estimates... most places were within the "ballpark" of the one I went with, although one of them (which, obviously, I didn't use) was somewhat more expensive and the guy got aggressive-confrontational with the high-pressure sales tactics after I said I was going to get more estimates but would keep him in mind. ![]()

I hope I can paint the picture with the accuracy that the truth deserves. I have no intention of just beating a ticket.. but more like beating a really unfair ticket. You decide!

In June at 401 London and Wellington I got hit twice, speeding which I didn't realize I was doing and cell phone. The Officer made me open my purse and show him my phone. I was going to meet a Rep of my Company in Kitchener, he called I answered. WRONG! The Officer wasn't even nice. My record…

I'm going to preface this with a little concern....I know that at least one moderator on this forum is likely a co-worker of the officer who tagged me. I'm hoping that by being involved here, this moderator is already acting unbiased towards incidents he/she is not directly involved in. Also…
I received a ticket the other day that has my wrong name, wrong address and wrong set fine amount. Is the best thing to do default on it and hope it is quashed and if it isn't file for appeal as per London v. Young ?
Also for an incorrect offence or an offence "not known to law." as an example :

My step-father received a ticket under Sect 144(8), not yielding to traffic.
The intersection is with a highway, lights at all stops. Highway speed limit 90 kmh, speed of intersecting road 50 kmh.
When he arrived at the lights, they were flashing red all ways as the power was out in the area and was…
