I have just received a System Offense Notice. There is one major problem....this is not my car. A couple of years ago I owned 2 cars and these were the plates from that car which was sold and the plates returned to MTO over 2 years ago. What would be my recourse, I really don't want to have to take time off of work for this huge mistake, but I am certainly not going to be paying this ticket either. Any suggestions???

I'd start by contacting the MTO and ensuring their records show the plates were returned. Is it your plate in the photograph?
