Re: Old Carriage Court Kitchener

Here's a sample of the Kitchener Parking Bylaw. Your ticket should have the exact bylaw number on it.

Method of Parking or Stopping

2. Method of Parking or Stopping

a) General
Unless otherwise prohibited or permitted in this by-law, no person shall park or stop a vehicle on any roadway except on the right side of the roadway, having regard to ...

No, you're not going to jail. Yes, there's a possibility that they'll offer you a charge of 49km over.

However, do yourself a favor and drop this hill story. To say you let go of the gas, coasted, and your car catapulted from 80 to nearly 140... it's insulting. Not that it's a defense anyways.

1) What type of documentation/note will a friend of mine need to represent me in the court as an agent?

Your friend can just bring a simple letter just in case, but they probably wont even need to use it. As long as they're not accepting money for services, it should be fine.

However, this is a pretty serious charge as far as traffic act ...

An officer can tell you to get out of your car for the purpose of checking for sobriety.

Another reason would be for the officers safety.

"Attitude" may not mean the same for you as it does for the officer. The officer may look at ...

Re: U-turn Disobey sign - but not visible because of sunset?

I would disagree with your interpretation of the regulation. It's about putting signs behind a wall, tree, pole, etc. You can't place a sign to avoid glare at any given time. It's like putting your hands in front of your face and saying the sign isn't wasn't placed properly because you couldn't see it.

Glare in what way? Glare bouncing off the ...

Paralegals don't deal with red light tickets as is, let alone billing additional hours on top of that.

I don't know how strong my case is. I have never received any ticket and my driving record is clean.

Not to sound harsh, but driving oblivious is not a defense. Also, it's an absolute liability offense. That means you either did or didn't drive through the red light. There's no middle ground.

Luckily, red light camera tickets are glorified ...

Your ticket and your insurance fault are two different things. Your insurance is there to settle a financial dispute and has its own set of standards and practices. Your insurance provider uses the Fault Determination Rules .

If you're still looking for an early resolution meeting, you can plead not guilty and show up any available day from now until your trial. You can even show up on your trial date.

The collision centre wouldn't assign fault percentages. If there was a charge to be laid, that's a possibility. The only person who needs to worry is the other driver, who will probably get a knock on the door.

Fault determinations is based on the Fault Determination Rules , which are standard for all insurance providers. The other driver is 100 ...

If your wife was pulled over roadside, she would have been charged with driving while suspended. If there's some sort of odd circumstance that shows she didn't simply ignore her conviction and was unaware of a suspension, they'd likely take that into consideration at your summons date and go from there.

It's your responsibility to make sure you can complete the turn in safety while yielding to all incoming traffic. The other driver has the right of way. Whether there is a signal wouldn't supersede your obligation to turn in safety.

Your video isn't currently available so I've attached somewhat of a recreation for others to comment.

Agreed.

Unless you stop you car on the feet of the officer in a perfectly straight line, everything is technically going to be "on an angle", "curved", etc.

The error you are trying to prove benefits the driver. The device measures Point A to Point B in a straight line.

There's a bit of confusion over your interpretation of the first picture. All red light camera tickets will show your car right before the line. The first picture always looks like this. The intent of the first picture is to show the car approaching the intersection while the light is already red before you move over the line.

Whether or not your ...

You were already speeding while following the officer.

Is that not a bit of failed logic in the entrapment theory you've provided?

Why would an officer need to go through all this trouble when you're already sitting behind him and speeding?
