Hello guys,
If I were to plead guilty to the 49 over at trial assuming the crown does not offer a deal before trial, would the prosecutor still have the charge amended to to stunt or not?
There's no harm is discussing a possible further reduced fine. They will either tell you "OK, we'll offer you..." or "No, you've gotten a big enough break ...

Not could, but you are. If found guilty of any infraction of 4 or more points, you will given a 30 day suspension as you're a novice driver.Steven09 wrote:as I could be facing a suspension

Re: Speeding 37 over on 401
I was heading east bound on 401 outside of Windsor. I did not see the construction zone sign as it was Sunday. The police office pulled me over said I was 37 over and I told him I thought I was 15 and had no idea. $277 later and 4 pts- he told me he put a R on the ticket showing he reduced the amount since the fine could have been doubled. My last ...

Hello everyone,
Last week I was driving back to Montreal from Toronto on 401. I got pulled over and the officer told me that he caught me 155km/h so he should impound the car and suspend my license (i have a Quebec license). After a few minutes talk, he decided to give me a break and wrote 149 km/h on the ticket (and i appreciate that)

Worry about yourself and stop worrying about what tickets other people received. For whatever reason they caught a break and you didn't. You're going to have to get over it because it has no effect on your case whatsoever.

Re: Advise appreciated - 145 on ETR407
I don't believe any Ontario officers still use radar. It's all lidar. It's aimed at your front plate as it's the most reflective part of your vehicle. Traditional radar would send a beam that expanded in width the further the target was. This would make it harder to pinpoint a vehicle in traffic. Lidar doesn't have this problem. The beam expansion ...

Re: 17 with two tickets. Have a few questions.
Alright, yeah I guess it makes sense. And LOL. Obviously I'm not gonna say that in court -.- and I know it's not a valid excuse but it was just a general statement. And yeah, I'm aware of the fact that it was fleeing that screwed me over. Could someone expand on the "Novice Driver Escalating Sanctions" that bend mentioned? And thanks everyone for ...

Re: HELP NEEDED: Collission without Police
Hi everyone,
I need your help. I got into an accident last night when I rear-ended the driver in front of me. My car didn't sustain any damage but the other driver's rear bumper got a dent (nothing too too big, but not too small either). As we were both in a rush, we exchanged Names, phone numbers and took photos of each other's car's license ...

Re: Horns can they be too loud?
Hey there
I am going to adding an air horn to my personal bus once it arrives.
I wanted to know if there are any restrictions, as regarding horns which I need to be aware of.
Thanks
There's no meter or level in which these things are calculated. Much like exhausts, it's mostly at the officers discretion. Anything that sounds ridiculous ...

Re: Is it legal to carry a machete in your trunk?
I'm just going to echo the same response as the last poster. Should an officer search your car, it would be wise to inform him of the machete. While it's perfectly legal, you don't want to make an officer uncomfortable with the situation and have things escalate.

Re: 17 with two tickets. Have a few questions.
Does that really make a big difference? I mean everyone gets into accidents? :/
Yes, it's a big difference. You are still a G2 driver. You have yet to complete the Graduated Licensing System. You are on vehicular probation. The penalties are harsher on new drivers, not easier. Hence why you'll be suspended.
Also, you didn't get into an ...

Your license will be suspended. You are a novice driver and are subject to Novice Driver Escalating Sanctions.YouDontKnowMe wrote:Sorry to bring this up again. But my license will most likely be suspended right? :/
LOL, No. You've been driving for like 6 months.YouDontKnowMe wrote: 2) Would the judge go easy on me because I'm still a minor and it's my first conviction?

"Absolute liability offense." Thanks for the education.
Guess I shall just pay the ticket and file the whole experience under "Suck it up, Buttercup."
You don't have to suck it up, but you're going about it the wrong way. You can't fight speeding tickets with excuses.
You can always file disclosure and go along for the ride. You might catch a ...
