Thanks a lot, this is very insightful! So it looks like even with "Early resolution", if I decide not to accept the offer (if any) and try my luck in court to see if, may be, the officer would not be there, I would still be able to plea guilty in court if I see the officer there, before the trial.
The officer may or may not be there either way ...

Re: 149 in 100 zone + no valid licence plate sticker
1) I was told by every agency that the worst case scenario is even if everything else fails, pleading guilty to the existing tickets during trial, so it won't make it worse. However from what I read if you go to trial, the original speed will be reinstated and I might not have a chance to plead guilty to the reduced speed ticket.

When it states 'highway', does that mean any road way or are they specifically talking about highways. I believe the road I was on was 4 lines wide, 2 each side, and it was not a main road.

I highly doubt you're going to convince anyone in a courtroom that the officer lost track of you while he made a u-turn and that 2 cars made a switcharoo. You are the lone vehicle on a straight road travelling 51km over the limit in a Honda Odyssey minivan. An officer doesn't need to maintain 100% visual. He didn't lose you behind some back alleys ...

The government provides school bus drivers with a form they can fill out for illegal passing of a school bus. If there is enough information for a charge, an officer will write up a ticket and deliver it to the residence of the registered owner.

Not sure the best course of action - do I hire a professional? Do I reschedule?

Your license number doesn't vanish into thin air. It'll exist whether or not you choose to renew your license or not.
Even if you don't have a license, they will generate a license number for you and it'll be waiting for you if you ever decide to apply.

Doctors are required by the province to report certain conditions (there's a list). They will do this for anyone who is over 16 (anyone eligible for a license). Because you blacked out and alcohol was involved, they have to submit a form to the ministry. That's where the suspension comes in.

Oops, I was totally wrong on this one.
Ticket probably should have been written 136 (1)(b) "Fail to yield to traffic on through highway" or just fail to yield.
136 (1)(a) would be "Disobey stop sign, fail to stop".

Agreed. The section provides two elements for stopping at a stop sign. The first one ends in "and", meaning both are required to fulfill your obligation.
It's saying it's not simply enough to just stop and proceed. You must yield to the right of way before continuing.

You can send whatever you want. There's no standard form. Most municipalities can provide a generic form for you to use. They all look different but they will essentially ask you for the same thing. If you want to make your own form, you can do that too. In most cases, the provided form will do just fine.

If paying the original fine would cause you some hardship, it's probably more likely than not.
The demerit points stick. They do not assign points. The conviction is sent to the MTO and they automatically apply the points.
