The system is as compliant as it needs to be, which is too compliant in some cases. Don't abuse it for amusements sake.

It does need a before and after, just not immediately before and after your stop. Beginning and end of shift is fine.

If you could walk in and get it stamped that would be good.... Call for their fax number and indicate that you are sending a disclosure request.

Re: Disclosure request content

Your court date is still a ways out, in legal time, so don't sweat too much. If you wish you can always fax another request off, maybe in another week. If you can show the paper trail your good. As long as you have been prudent and reasonable and can show it the JP can do anything from offering a continuance if your disclosure is not ready, or ...

Does it say anything in the notes about an alignment check?

If the officer is required to do one prior to the shift the he should have a note about it too. At 300 meters a small alignment issue makes a big difference.

Great ideas....plus we jointly re-write the HTA to make sense

I originally decided to take this case on as a sort of science experiment, since I was curious how our justice system works.

The pipes need to have baffles to reduce the noise. Look under the equipment section of the OHTA for full answers.

Re: braking distances accepted by courts

If physics are involved ask the officer for his calculations and the braking coefficient of your car, the effect of gravity at the time and the expect life of your brake pads and rotors, the coefficient of your tires on the driving surface....etc.... he'll get the point.

Basically every time you stop your car it is different, not by much but it is ...

Interference still happens, noise on the radio under powerlines is proof. Like bear said though, there is an indication on the radar unit for this.

- 500,000 volt hydro transmission lines, directly above and across the highway where I was targeted
Could cause an issue
- traffic behind target and ahead of cruiser.
Also an issue

Simon says, oh too many jokes there.

Seriously, choose option 3 on the back of the ticket to fight the charge and follow Simon's instructions. You have to obtain disclosure before you go any further. There is no reason to loose sleep either, there are many possible outcomes.

And the AC thing can affect radar, but only if you point the transeiver ...

Re: Prosecutor appealing my dismissal

Appeals are a funny thing. If you go you will have to defend your position again but by the sounds of it you'll need to argue legal facts.

The crown is most likely going to attack the JP's decision and this may be difficult for you as a civilian. You may want to seek legal council to go to court for you.

How did you prove that the officer's ...

I thought the keys had to be in one's possession because without them she lacked the ability to perform a function or where the car may have been unintentionally set in motion?
Care and control = Keys in hand. I would say there is an error in judgement on this one.
