Re: Salesmen charged for selling $41,000 car for $66,000
Yes, this lady has developmental issues and that's what make this so sleazy. Don't quote me but I believe that there may be a social worker involved that looks after this lady's money and the social worker blew the whistle. I knew of an investigation back in late January and was not surprised.

Re: Salesmen charged for selling $41,000 car for $66,000
I just happen to live in Orangeville and drive a car from this dealership. They are dirty and then some. They tried to ignore my Ford discount at the time of purchase and only my strong personality put them back in place.
Don't buy a car here EVER. But that's just my opinion.

If you wish to reopen the case I would write down everything you can remember at this point. There should also be some sort of recording available to you as well.

No legal impact, but funny none the less. File the stay, 15 days before you trial.Oh and one other thing, when they mailed me my original trial date they sent the letter to the wrong address!!! My neighbor happened to know me and be home and passed it on to me.

Worst that can happen is they say no.Wasn't sure if I had a case or not but I'll definitely file a stay regardless.

Perhaps we should start a rant section, it has been mentioned before, and you could pull ideas from there.

We have already spoken quite loudly here. Please, if you have time, read through some of the opinions posted.I'm always looking for new ideas to write about so just tell me what you'd like to see.
We do have 3 current officers on this board and one is a moderator.
A knowledgeable view point is always welcome.

The officer usually identifies you, that and when you are served your ticket you are usually in the drivers seat.

He should remove himself or adjourn your matter due to this conflict of interest. Unless he doesn't tell anyone and finds you not guilty for being too good looking or something.

The ticket is irregular on it's face, therefore invalid. I personally would consult a paralegal as to how to proceed, considering the impact this could have on you.

30KM/H through a controlled intersection would be grounds for dangerous driving, IMHO.

In this case the speed means jack. You will have to prove that the officer's vision of your wheels was obscured by another car when you came to a full and complete stop.

Re: Too easy to get a licence?
I see this all the time. Driving schools from Brampton and Mississauga invade Orangeville anytime after 9:00 am and are here until at least 8:00. I guess it's easier to parallel park on our streets. :D
Same point though, my wife dreaded driving on the 401, 410 etc. She never learned to negotiate the "madness". She'll still avoid it if she can ...

Re: red light camera offence
Hello to all on this site. I have just received an offence notice for a red light camera offence & have been researching my options to paying this exorbidant money grab of $325. I have found the discussion on this site helpful, but am wondering, do I have to plead not guilty in order to have the fine amount reduced by the prosecutor? or can I ...

Go back to the court house and ask for "First Attendance". If they do it there you can meet with just the crown and discuss.

Go to the courthouse early, an hour should do. The crown should be available before the scheduled time and you can chat then. Tell them what you have done, pictures would help and see what they'll do.

Ignorance is not a defence.and for the record I never knew green lights were illegal.
Read some of the posts here, you may get the charges dismissed. Seeing as it wasn't your actual headlights that were the problem the crown may be willing to negotiate.Does anyone have any advice for me about this incident? Thanks.

The date to be proclaimed......legal jargon for: date to be instated. The hands free bill was worded the same.
As for your edit, you cannot create a law to try someone. If you manage to do something that is not defined the gov't can't create a law to smack you with. If they create it then you break it, then to court you can go...
