On the reaction time test above, I averaged .220, (190 to 230) a spread of about .04 seconds. So with that the 12.4 seconds can mean a spread of 12.36 sec (145.63km/hr) to 12.44 sec, (144.69km/hr)spread of less than 1km/h (for the sake of argument). That doesn't seem that inaccurate at all
The spread was .04 but the actual was still .2 you have ...

Re: Plead guilty or trial?
Thanks for everyone's advice. Yes first time for both offences. I fixed my headlight the day right after I got my ticket and have kept the receipt and packaging for the new light.
However, I'm still unsure about the insurance card ticket. Should I set a court date and on that date just show my insurance card to them? What should I say?

Re: Court date
If you move fast you can file a 4F which is your right to a speedy trial. You'll have to make 3 copies, one for the Attorney General, one for the court and one more for.....I can't remember. But these need to be filed 15 days before your court date.... A paralegal could do this quickly for you and you may be able to talk them down in price.....good ...

I know my rights and when I can search. I have a job to do and will do it.
Still comes back to what are the average joe's rights.. I know 99.9% of officers are just doing the job they have to do and following hunches are part of that. But if an 18 yr old kid, possibly nervous, is pulled over he may or may not know how these situations will ...

Those who are wondering can pay..... putting a price tag on knowledge is always the worst thing you can do.....Are you going to pay for it. People scream when they find out how many cruisers are bought. So who will pay for the instruments and operators?

I think what I lean towards is that the general public might benefit from a sitdown with a bottle and an Intoxilyzer just to see what the "numbers" feel like. When people talk that they only blew an 80 i know know that for most people that is smashed

The magic here is how the officer phrases the question, "May

. And while I'm ranting why do police get the opportunity to drink then perform a breathalyzer but the general public, the bigger problem, just get a ticket. . :?: :?:
that speed bump might work the wrong way....after a few times the people will slow down, but the drivers become to accustom to that and when a real child runs out....just keep on ...

Why doesn't the GOVN'T just train the drivers better. Your next trip to the court house should include as much information from what you described as you can find. You may be able to get lieniency due to the hardships in your life, but that is upto the JP. Good luck.

Hello, it's been 3 months now since I sent the ticket in to fight it and I haven't heard anything and I'm worried it got lost in the mail or whatever.. I don't want to get a criminal record or whatever it is you get for not paying. Should I be worried? How long does it take for them to respond to these things? Thanks again.

What we get from this is: If there are available seats in the cab with seatbelts you must use them first, and while the cab is full then you can sit out back.

I had a very similar stop a few years back. I thought that there were "No Pedestrian" signs on all on ramps to 4-series highways.

Meet with the prosc and go from there......if he's willing to deal without much hassle the officer may not be there.....I am also not sure if I should ask for an adjournment in order to get disclosure, although I figure I know what disclosure will prove, or just explain the other circumstances and hope for the best?

If you can substantiate the extended circumstances then the court may have grounds to offer more of a reduced charge. It's really a roll of the dice if you talk to the prosecutor or explain the details of the other going on's in your life.

You can drive any car that came from the factory without seat belts and this is no different, this is my point of view.(a) occupy a seating position for which a seat belt assembly has been provided
