Re: 153 In A 100 Zone (Highway 404 Southbound In Richmond Hill)
The officer was alone, there was no trainer or supervisor with her - she was the only one in the police car. I take your point about the RADAR Gun being simple to operate, but how can the reading be so far off? The reading is off by 34kmph which is too much.... I also know his speedometer works perfectly fine, when we got his car from the impound ...

so I started counting people not wearing seat belts, not signalling, speeding...I was out for an hour...over 160 moving violations! I don't think the issue is enforcement, it's just people get their licences, then go out and not practice the same safe driving practices they needed to pass the test.

It's not really an early "meet", just be there before your scheduled time...you will have a chance to speak to the Crown before the trial..Tom98989 wrote:Can I go to that early-meet (forgot what it's called) to do this or do I have to go to court?

I'm going to get my windows tinted to:
1. Keep the sun out of my son's (14 months) eyes
2. Reduce the temperature inside the car, I believe it does work
3. Help my eyes when there is a truck, 1/2 ton and up, behind me driving my Mazda 3
4. It does look cool
I won't go so dark as to hide everything, just dark enough to help with the above items.

I'm not saying there's not more info, but based on the info provided I don't see a problem...If you have a view of two cars traveling side by side over a significant distance and you get a radar reading, they are in essence traveling the same speed.

That never happens......wait........ok I saw it just yesterday....As motor vehicle
operators, we're supposed to keep track of the changing road conditions and that would include the speed limits. If you can't see a flashing light, how can you see a stressed out soccer mom weaving in traffic with a minivan, yapping away on her cell phone?

A 1998 Buick will go 750 km on a tank at 140 kph and 600 km at 100 kph
Typo??
Mileage is always better at 100 as opposed to 120......air resistance is a exponential same as braking......different cars will get their best mileage at different speeds....the limit is irrelavent anyway. Take a trip in the morning, 5:30-6:00 am and check the speeds ...

There are cases where stationary objects, bridges come to mind, that will register a speed on radar equipment. I'll see if I can dig that up....
I think what the OP is suggesting is that radar theory is sound but the situation may fool the officer. I.E. multiple vehicles, multiple readings....etc.

Or it may prove errors......

The Charter is a rewrite of the Bill (of rights) and upon rewriting it changed a few things. But yes I agree that guy didnt deserve that treatment.Fact is many rights are already stripped but people don't recognise it. They have become too complacent and have been conned into believing that it is all in their best interest.

So one guy died out of 1600?
Not good (especially if you're that guy), but death when a tazer was used stats in north America are closer to 1 in 24,500 uses.
Still think it's the Tazer, or it's maybe the guy at the end of the prongs?
Just sayin'
It is still not meant to be lethal, that is the issue. Although, a rubber bullet fired point blank ...

Hi all,
first post on this forum. When I received a speeding ticket last week, I realized the vehicle permit had my former address. At the time I was surprised since I remember changing address at a Kiosk(maybe it was just for my license).
Received a +$85 ticket for incorrect address....OHTA 9(2).
