Hey guys' please fact check me :) I forgot to renew both my DL and HC on my Bday, on the 4th I did it online on the 5th, awaiting now. However, I am trying to book an online proctored exam, and (long story short) I wanna use my DL (govt photo ID, DOB etc) When I book the exam, I have to state what method of ID I will use, then SCAN IT and send it to them when requested AND on the day of the exam, I scan and sent it to the proctor OR they ask me to show it on the webcam. Problem is my photo ID is out of date DUH, so need to wait 4-6 weeks for my DL to come in the post. BUT I thought, as its a kinda emergency, can I not goto an ontarioservice center show them the paper recipt and ask for a DL there and then SO I rang the call center and the chap advised me that my DL was in process of being done and mail out and I should wait for 4-6 weeks.... and I "CANT" go to a servicecenter anyway to request one. ONLY after the 4-6 weeks the exp. date on the temp license is July 4th Does this make sense, do I have to wait it out ? anyone confirm, I dont really wanna go wait an a center for 30 minutes to be told I cant have one I said what happens after 4-6 weeks, he said you "we" can book an appt for you or you can go walk in ! txs
