I just received a 15 km over the limit ticket, and I just had a major single car accident a few months ago, other than that my record was clean. Should I fight the ticket, will my insurance go up because of the ticket?

In light of your situation your insurance will likely go up if you are convicted of this offence. This allegation is considered a minor offence and you should fight it. I guess the officer reduced the speed from the higher speed. At trial your speed may be amended to the original.
