While stopped at the light I made a quick decision to turn right into Square One to visit someone, and was caught in the police sting. Had to wait in a line up of cars for the ticket. One cop stopped me, and he also gave me the ticket. There was another cop at the location, but he was just leaving. There are right turn signs and no right turn signs at the intersection. The no right turn signs are temporary signs mounted on a steal frame. Hoping the conflicting signs will help in court? Thanks for any help.

Generally they cover or turn the unneeded or conflicting signs around. Could there be a chance to argue the signs were not officially placed by the ministry? Maybe the construction workers moving down the highway from sight to sight placed the signs. You are likely right. Is there a rule for which sign to follow when there are conflicting signs. I could not find it. I was not intending to turn when I approached the intersection, so did not read all the signs before the intersection. While stopped at the lights I decided to turn into Square One, checked the intersection that all was clear, no signs prohibiting the turn were visible at this point, and made the turn.

In my opinion they should have covered the right turn sign.
Would I fight it? Absolutely!
Would I win? Maybe, maybe not.

The right turn sign is a lane sign referring to a lane that is clearly blocked off. Not a hope a JP will buy that.

The officer never sent disclosure, he didn't show up in court, case dismissed. Found in the Ontario Traffic Manual - Temporary Conditions, that in drawings the no right turn sign is shown at the corner of an intersection, so it would be visible to a car stopped at the lights. The signs at this intersection were about a car length back from the intersection at the beginning of the island. Called the works department and was told for short duration projects, they do not necessarily have to cover conflicting signs. This was to be a short duration project, but turned into a long duration project. Was looking forward to fight my case in court, but am happy with the easy win.

I was driving on Eglinton W and turn right on Strathearn (near Eglinton/Allen Road). There was a no right turn (from 3pm to 7pm) sign which I didn't see.
The cop was waiting there, apparently nobody sees the signs but they are there.
I don't believe I have much to do here but, trying to find…
I know this technically doesn't fit on this board (3 demerit points) as it seems that 15km/h over just means a 50 dollar fine, I would like some advise though, I'm not sure how I should proceed.
The incident happened in Feb, driving south on highway 400 near Barrie. I was in the fast lane, doing…
Quick question about debris (broken taillights ect) from an accident and responsibility.
If someone hit something that broke off (not cargo), but 30 minutes after the original accident and other cars managed to avoid everything. The debris was avoidable who is responsible for damage to that car.
Need some advice on reaching a plea deal with the prosecutor and how to go about talking to the crown. I'm not here to be lectured ect. I'm aware I made a mistake, and need advice on fixing it. So kindly keep comments about my impulsive decision to yourself.
First post..... My fiancee this week was in an accident and she was handed a 3 demerit point 154 (1) (a) charge for 115 dollars or something and 3 demerit points.
Demerit points do not matter to insurance companies, convictions do ... is there a chance that she could go to court and the…

I just received my first stop sign ticket in Markham. Has anyone successfully defended a stop sign ticket? If so, what strategies did you use? The officer that pulled me over said I slowed down but didn't stop. I felt that I stopped momentarily. I have no previous moving violations or…
