Re: Ticket for driving a friend's car with expired sticker

That's actually incorrect. The owner of the vehicle is responsible for ensuring their vehicle is insured, has proper validation and permits, ect... In the end, someone will have to pay the ticket and it's probably going to be the owner. It is the owner' vehicle afterall which also mean it is their expired validation sticker. The friend can't be ...

Re: Option 3 Meeting with the Prosceutor vs Option 2

You'll be able to talk to the prosecutor the day of your trial. They may offer you a reduced charge. If you choose to accept, you'll plead guilty to the new charge. If they don't offer you anything, you can still plead guilty. If you want to continue with a trial, you can do that too.

Re: Ontario Insurance question regarding multiple drivers

You and your father will need to fill out an excluded driver form which can be found here . Hand it off to your insurance provider and let them know you don't want him on the policy. Or you can just ask your insurance provider and they'll get you started.

Be aware that once you fill out this form, he can't drive your vehicle under any ...

Re: Right turn on red light camera - complete stop

My red was red for 0.3 seconds, my delay was 1.1 seconds and it says I was travelling 44km/hr in both pictures. According to this then, I travelled 14 metres or 47 feet. In that time I have only travelled one car length.

I don't believe the speed reading changes throughout the pictures. It should be the same initial reading on all of them.

Now ...

Re: disobey no left turn sign

but what was the reason for having two signs in the first place? can it argued that people should do totally ok with only one sign? then why the waste of money? apologies if not getting on the points, first time fighting a ticket, trying to get a brain storm.

Signs have regulations. It's to insure that signs are placed with consistency and they ...

Re: disobey no left turn sign

1) the sign is really hard to see, it was erected a few meters to the left of the shoulder as you can see in the photo. the sign is so bad (I am talking about the sign on the pole on other side of the street) that every time I go back to the site, I see at least one car making the left turn, and even the google map pic showing a car was making a ...

Re: Possibility of having traffic ticket reduced to a bylaw

The case you're referring that gained media attention was commonly titled everywhere as "Is a three-point turn a U-turn?".

It's where a Brampton man driving north, turned left into a driveway, reversed his car and proceeded south.

He was found guilty.

Section 143 of the Highway Traffic Act refers to a U-turn as a turn "so as to proceed in the ...

Re: Does suspension carry over to new province ?

You aren't eligible for an Alberta license.

Alberta and Ontario are apart of the Canadian Driver Licence Compact which allows provinces to easily share license information.

The Alberta Traffic Safety Act says you are not eligible to apply for a license if you are currently suspended in another province.

Re: Wrong name and license on Full Disclosure.

Notes are just notes. If you have an issue with something in them, you'll have to make that argument during trial. Otherwise, the ticket wont just disappear.

Keep in mind it might not mean what you think it means. It could be the officer was keeping a record of the vehicle stopped, who it's registered to, etc.

Even if it what you think it is, it ...

It takes two photos.

These tickets are not the end of the world. You can try to have the fine reduced and then you can move on. They are similar to parking tickets.
