Re: Cell phone ticket while on boulevard

Hi all,
Looking for some info on a ticket I received last year for using a cell phone while driving.
There are some unique circumstances but the short story is that I was parking on the boulevard in downtown Toronto -- this is common practice in my field of work. There were numerous police officers already in the area due to a situation I was ...

Re: 180 in a 100 zone - charged with racing a motor vehicle

I was driving a car that I was unaccustomed to, that has a very, very sensitive acceleration (Mazda 3) on a highway that was almost devoid of traffic (didn't have much flow of traffic I could adjust to).

If this is how you're expecting to represent yourself in court, i'd beg that you get a paralegal. Speeding is an absolute liability and can't ...

Re: What if I get hit with a parked police car's door?

Before I had read this thread, i'd already assumed you had been charged with something related to Approaching an Emergency Vehicle, which probably would have made the ticket a little more debatable. 148(5) covers overtaking. This section does not cover a vehicle which decides to open their door against traffic, which you already know is covered in ...

Re: Speeding 45 Over, Incomplete Disclosure

Hey guys, thanks for the input. But what do you mean "conflict of interest" ? Why couldn't the JP decide right then whether those documents are necessary. I'm not asking for calibration for calibration for calibration device, etc, etc.. Just the calibration for radar, conformance, and IC certificate, which I heard are all very easy to obtain ...
