Re: Novice Driver BAC above zero G2

Novice drivers are required to have a blood alcohol content of zero . No alcohol whatsoever.

As far as insurance goes, they will treat this the same way they treat any drunk driver. If you're incapable of driving without drinking while under probation, you're definitely a risk when you're finally given more leeway. That's why it comes with a 100 ...

You can try calling the courthouse. Sometimes if you live outside a certain radius, they give you the option of calling for an early resolution.

Re: Borla ATAK to loud?

Under the Highway Traffic Act, there is no guideline. It's up to an officers discretion. An officer is under no obligation to give hard numbers on how loud your exhaust is. Meaning, they don't have to sit there and measure sound. An officers reading is their ears.

Some municipalities may also have noise bylaws targeting exhausts. These are the ...

Re: Handheld communication device ticket

"I don't care about the fine, I only care about insurance" is probably the most common issue posted on these boards.

Barring some stroke of luck, the ticket is not going away.

Based on your post, you're looking to have a trial. Select the trial option, wait several weeks, and they'll send you a Notice of Trial. That will have your trial ...

Re: Need advice I'm from Moncton new Brunswick

Your answer may differ province to province.

1) You'll need to know the requirements for a school bus when receiving and discharging passengers. For example, in Ontario the driver would have to be stopped before activating the retractable stop sign.

2) In Ontario, you'd either be charged as the driver or the owner of the vehicle. If you weren't ...

Re: Unintentionally passed school bus with lights flashing

You were not charged at the scene. Had you passed the bus illegally, they would track down the owner of the plates. That person would be charged as an owner and not a driver since no one can confirm who was behind the wheel.

There's no points or insurance implications.

Re: Illegally parked car hit from the back in underground parking - whose fault is it?

Your insurance provider uses the Ontario Fault Determination Rules. The rules are used by every insurance provider. They are the standard. The providers will be concerned with who pays what in the form of percentages.

Officers are not looking to determine fault percentages. They don't care. That's not up to them to decide. They may decide to ...

Re: Speeding ticket for driving 100 km/h in 60 km/h zone

I don't get it. What exactly are you assuming here? That all officers who use radar on the side of the road wont put their car in drive and follow you? That does happen.

They might not pull you over right away for several reasons. The most common because they want to know who they are pulling over before they stick their face in front of your ...

Re: Accident ( Improper Right Turn charge)

The signalling is largely irrelevant. A signal is not an open invitation to change lanes willy nilly. Either a lane change can be made safely or it can't.

Based on your first post alone, it would be easy to assume the truck driver is at fault, which is why I think people are asking a lot of questions. While I sympathize with the disadvantages of ...

Quick look on Google shows he left most lane splits off into a left turn lane, the right is actually the straight/right turn lane. The capture is a couple years old. Has the road changed?

I don't quite follow how that makes his statement false. It's common for officers to follow a vehicle before pulling someone over.

Re: Reviewing Disclosure for Stunt Driving Ticket

This is one of those situations where you'd hope they might offer a reduction to 149km.

If they end up doing so, it might be worth considering the offer. The difference between 49km over and 50+ is way too big to pass up on.

Re: BAC >0 G2 and more.

I'm assuming you're under your parents policy.

If you live in their house, you have to be listed on their policy. If you want to be removed, you have to fill out an exclusion form. It's a form saying you won't drive their cars.

After that, their premiums would return to normal.

Re: BAC >0 G2 and more.

You will not receive any demerit points, but that is the least of your problems.

You are a Novice Driver. You fall under the Escalating Sanctions program. Your license will be suspended 30 days upon conviction for your BAC above 0 charge.

Insurance wise, you're looking at getting booted. BAC above zero for a G2 driver is usually treated the same ...
