This was a popular discussion 10 or so years ago when a gentleman from the TV series Motoring was issued a ticket for this same scenario. The story was featured in practically every newspaper.
The short answer is there is no specific law in the HTA that would prohibit you from warning other drivers from something like a speed trap.
The long ...

Re: Stop Sign ticket mistake?
This is my understanding of it, but it's possible I may be wrong somewhere.
There's conflicting answers to this question, probably because the tickets aren't dealt with properly.
Bicycles are considered vehicles, so any relevant charges under the HTA would apply.
The problem is bicycle tickets should be labeled as such. From what I understand ...

Re: Help with my first speeding ticket
Officers set up at this location all the time doing speed enforcement. Usually, they're sitting in the same dead end street in the early mornings of a weekend or holiday.
The speed before the 50km zone is 60km. First, there's a sign that says "Speed Radar Enforced" along with a sign warning of the 50km ahead. Then there's the 50km begins sign ...

Re: HELP License suspended medical review for alcohol depend
Doctors are required by the province to report certain conditions (there's a list). They will do this for anyone who is over 16 (anyone eligible for a license). Because you blacked out and alcohol was involved, they have to submit a form to the ministry. That's where the suspension comes in.

Re: Failure to stop. 136(1)(b)
Oops, I was totally wrong on this one.
Ticket probably should have been written 136 (1)(b) "Fail to yield to traffic on through highway" or just fail to yield.
136 (1)(a) would be "Disobey stop sign, fail to stop".

Re: Failure to stop. 136(1)(b)
Agreed. The section provides two elements for stopping at a stop sign. The first one ends in "and", meaning both are required to fulfill your obligation.
It's saying it's not simply enough to just stop and proceed. You must yield to the right of way before continuing.

ticketcombat recommended not include phone number on the disclosure request form. What you think about this?

Re: Which Disclosure Requests Form I must use?
You can send whatever you want. There's no standard form. Most municipalities can provide a generic form for you to use. They all look different but they will essentially ask you for the same thing. If you want to make your own form, you can do that too. In most cases, the provided form will do just fine.

I'm not sure if you realize what you're even asking here. You are asking advice about lying in court. I can't help you there.

Sounds like handheld.
If paying the original fine would cause you some hardship, it's probably more likely than not.
The demerit points stick. They do not assign points. The conviction is sent to the MTO and they automatically apply the points.

Why did she have to plead prior to the discussion? In every meeting I've had it's been discuss, decide, then plead guilt to amended charge. Never have I been asked to plead up front.

In regards to the license plate, my car is from 2005. The cover is a transparent cover put on by the dealership. It does not impact the plain visibility of the plate in anyway, it has been on the car since it came from the dealership, and there was never an issue at all. I've been stopped by officers before for RIDE etc and no one mentioned ...

100+ over the limit is no joke. It's the kind of charge that will get you in the news, which apparently it did.

You're talking criminal and civil issues here. It's somewhat out of the realm of the forum.
