Sounds like the charge might have already been reduced at the scene.

Re: Two tickets need advice
I know I only have a week to pay the second ticket but I don't want it to show up on the record for the early resolution so I was thinking of asking for a trial to delay the conviction to keep it off the record and having better luck with the 30 over tickets.
As already pointed out, having another speeding ticket isn't going to make or break any ...

Re: Turn Not In Safety.... Collision
Does the fact that the driver needed to speed up to hit me make any difference?
It was not necessary for him to slow down to avoid the contact, but being he accelerated caused the contact?
That part does not make sense to me.
Right of way trumps all. He was free to go straight, signal or no signal. He can just say he changed his mind and ...

Ultimately my state does not have a reciprocal arrangement with Ontario, but I don't want a conviction to be held against me on the basis of insurance fault - as i was driving my father-in-laws car. OR i would just pay the ticket, b/c points will not follow me.
If you are in a state without a reciprocal agreement with Ontario, the charge will ...

Re: Interfere With Traffic Ticket - Advice Needed
I'd like to fight it if possible because I'm pretty annoyed at this cop setting up shop near a major accident and using it to pull over car after car after car.
But it's not annoying to everyone else when you block a direction of traffic instead of waiting? You can't go anyways, so why block everyone else from moving? There's no reason traffic ...

What you got was a roadside suspension.
If you are convicted, you'll face a 30 day suspension.

Re: 36 over in construction zone
or should i go to trial? I read that the trial method is an all or nothing thing.
Trial is all or nothing if you turn down the offer presented to you beforehand.
My question to the board is , should i go to first appearance or to trial?

Re: Traffic Tickets - Need Advise Please
You do not need a phone number. If they say you need a phone number, tell them you don't have one. You don't have a number, but you have a mailbox. Your license doesn't have your phone number, your ticket was most likely responded to by mail, and your Notice of Trial was sent by mail. You have gone through the whole trial process without a single ...

Re: Received 3 demerit points in Quebec on zero tolerance
Today I was driving in Quebec and a cop ticketed me for 132 in a 100 zone. Which is 3 demerit points.
It's actually 4 points. Quebec and Ontario have a reciprocal agreement which means your offense will be shared between the provinces. The offense will transfer, the point will not. Ontario will take the charge and apply it to the system here and ...

Re: 49km over in a 60km zone (reduced)
If anyone has any advice as to how I could get this ticket to 29-km over I would be very grateful
Not going to happen. You already got a huge break as is. If you want a trial, your ticket can be amended to its original speed. If I was a prosecutor, i'd tell you to take it or leave it because you DO NOT want to go to trial.

What if I try tell the prosecutor that he got the location wrong
You haven't asked for disclosure. You don't know for certain where your speed was recorded. You are assuming things by what you saw. That information would be located in your disclosure. You can't just assume these things going into trial.

Re: 145kmph in 100kmph zone, is this consider a "fatal" erro
My trial is next month. I didn't get disclosure cause I thought this could increase the odds of the officer showing up. I've been in court once before and noticed there were 1-2 cops only for like 12 cases? So it seems like cops don't show up the majority of the time. Then again, this was an OPP officer. He was however, very formal and seemed like ...

Agreed with what was already said.
Ticket goes to the owner of the plates. They don't care who plans on defending against the charge because the ticket will always be the responsibility of the plate holder. Your wife has no stake in this ticket. She can walk away right now, ignore it, and it will never matter to her again. However, it will follow ...

You should resubmit your 11b and be prepared to solidly argue why the delay should be attributed to the prosecutors office. I personally see nothing wrong with not including a phone number but I would be prepared to argue why you feel it is not necessary.
If you don't receive the disclosure you want, you will also have to argue that why you feel ...
