Re: Is this cause for Stay?
You are doing everything you can and in the right sequence. As far as "As the offence date is 8 months from the trial date, is there cause and case law to apply for a stay?" it's usually at least a year delay, if not longer, that the courts consider a 11b arguement.

yes, if the plates are not being used for their designated intended purpose
You missed what he said, " the legal authority to remove and confiscate my car's historic vehicle plates, when these plates are registered to the vehicle and are up to date with a valid plate sticker?" and on a historic car? I say the officer was over stepping his bounds.

I was 200 m away from his car when he waved me. I was just about to change the lane, but thought he wanted me to pull over, so I slowed down to 45K, but did not change the lane as I had to pull over.
Actually He did not waved me to pull over, by waving he wanted me to change the lane.

S/B on 427 exiting right to Queensway, there is a "no right turn on red sign". I know because I live in the area. I always stop. This time the light was different. Usually, when I get the green arrow pointing right, the light at the top is green as well. (so cars on the other lanes can go straight and I can turn right) This time the top was red ...

Well, I called the John Sopinka courthouse again yesterday and, finally, have a court date for mid-January. Do any of you know if I can get the forms for requesting disclosure online, or do I have to stop into the courthouse again to obtain one (the previous copy handed to me in July is severely dog-eared from being in my purse for so long)?

If you have a trip planned then take in the paper work and show them. The crown cannot force you into their schedule. They set the original date and that is their problem. You don't have to rearrange your life for them. Go to the hearing and stress the inconvienence this will have on your life. What was the date of the offence, this may help.

You could politely ask the officer why you are getting pulled over so much. Explain nicely that you are just a nice fellow in a nice car but you have been pulled over X times in X weeks and see what transpires. If the officers computer has a red flag on your plate, then they must be able to "green Flag" it somehow. Once again notes and or your ...
