Re: Appeal is taking forever

I had appealed a conviction 6 months ago. I'm still waiting on the city to serve me with transcripts. After almost four months I went to the courthouse just to make sure they haven't been trying to get a hold of me. The clerk didn't even bother looking. She said 4 months is too soon and they are really backed up. She said I was looking at a 6 ...

Fight the ticket. Take a picture of the motorbikes and proceed to court. The rules of the road apply equally to both MC's and cars so.........Your management group is trying dirty tricks to get you to pay for more then what you need.

As he was pulling away, he flashed a one-finger salute at the officer, who then stopped the vehicle again.

When was the offence date and when is the trial date?? 12 month's between is a good case for an 11b Charter arguement. 11b, is the right to a speedy trial.

Yes, whenever I drive someone else's car I conduct a thorough check of all mechanical and safety systems (including crawling underneath) before I run down to the store :?

Yes I'm being sarcastic

A $10 fix-it ticket would be the normal choice of OUR local PD.

Re: The MPH Bee III radar gun's POP mode

This may sound a bit daft, but what is a tracking history? I'd like to gain a better understanding of this if I'm going to use this in my defence.

Tracking History: (AHEM) is the simple act of the officer visually monitoring a vehicle and determining that it is travelling above the Posted Speed Limit, before he uses a Speed Measuring Device, i.e ...

I did some investigating on this unit and found some info regarding the MPH Bee III unit.

"Mph doesn't recommend using the POP Mode exclusively because it excludes getting a proper "tracking history" taken in this mode"

So if I get pulled over by an officer who used POP mode to tag me, can the crown/officer cannot use the radar evidence against ...

If that's the case, I'd recommend paying the fine. If the officer did clock you doing 95 but lowered it to 75, that's a pretty big reduction. .

Sounds like discretion for a student. Not going to let the student completely off, but give the student a break with all the expenses of school and who maybe has a part time job.

I had a nice officer ...

Re: 117 in 80 with decent reason

I think that I got a ridiculously expensive and unfair speeding ticket today. I was passing someone and approaching a blind hill so I was obviously accelerating to get in front before getting to the hill. There was another car behind me following me as I passed the slow moving car. Once I got past the car I moved over and the hill started down. I ...

Here's what happened.

I was following my front car at the same speed, then a few minutes later, a police car suddenly appeared at my back and stopped me for speeding.

He seized my car (7 days) and my driver license (7 days), and gave me a ticket for speeding and I have to go to the court of Ontario Court of Justice in 2 months.

I was heading ...

Re: No time to file for disclosure

As for your other questions, YES it is possible that an officer could pull two people over and get them on radar but it makes it less likely that the radar gun was tested after each use (but not impossible to my knowledge). .

Unit has to be tested before and after the offence, not each individual use. I test start of day, end of day....plus ...

As long as you pay something, you should be able to file the appeal. Even then you don't have to pay first, TC may be able to explain that. I agree 100% that the system is faulty and there should be some sort of restitution for your extended annoyance.
