i pace quite often to avoid radar detectors, does not matter what cruiser I'm in, speedo is always good to go as it's always checked at least twice a day!

Re: The MPH Bee III radar gun's POP mode

I've made several attempts to obtain this information but received no response, nothing that tells me that I can view this document at the court house. No explanation, nothing.

Improper disclosure, dismiss the charge.............They have to allow you access to the manual........

Re: The MPH Bee III radar gun's POP mode

Thanks for the explanation :)

I'd like to use this argument in court, however since I don't have any official documentation stating that this particular radar.. when in POP mode, the constable cannot issue a speeding ticket to anyone.

How should I go about that? I've even gone as far as requesting a copy of the operating manual from the ...

Of course if this goes to court the OP could argue he said it because the officer was badgering him.....trying to get a quick end to it...sort of idea.

Re: PARKING TICKET HELP

Generally they have to mark your car (usually by chalking the tires with a line on the side from the top of the tire to the rim) first and then come back an hour (or whatever the limit is) later to verify that you have over-stayed (theoretically you could move to another spot far from where you originally were and if the chalk line ends up at the ...

Re: 80KPH IN A 60KPH ZONE

I think there was a recent decision that said as long as the tests were completed and found no errors then the court shall accept the readings.

And 71 m is pretty close and the beam is small so an arguement of outside influence wouldn't fly.

As far as I also find this weird because the ticket was a R87 ticket.
the officer rounded his reading ...

Re: 80KPH IN A 60KPH ZONE

So the court date was today:

The prosecution called me up right away, they asked for an adjournment of the trial (one month) so they can get together my "larger than normal request for disclosure".

The JP asked if I had anything to day: I didn't know that they were going to do this so I was kind of baffled. I just asked for the case to be ...

Re: Top 10 driver pet peeves (Toronto Police survey)

How about those who speed to get in front of you when you are the last car in the long line of moving vehicles, only to slam on the breaks because they were going faster than your lane and are about to brownnose the car ahead?

That was lane crashing.........

Or those idiots who, seeing your signal to enter their lane, speed UP in order to ...

Re: careless driving while on a ATV

This charge is only applicable to those driving on the highway, not off of it. If your son was not on the road, he is not governed by the OHTA, unless the ditch has been deemed part of the road, you will have to look that up. This is a serious charge and you may want to consult professional help.
