I have had something close to 500 parking tickets so I am good at parking in no parking places. The last one I got is a bit of a puzzle. North York No parking within 9 meters of a crossing road. I was about an inch from the edge of the sidewalk so I did it. What confuses me is the 9 meters thing. The paid parking starts at a car length from the edge of the sidewalk about 3 meters away? kudos to the parking cops that can ticket a car within 2 minutes. Just curious about this. Cheers Viper1

It's a city by-law, naturally. But I'm not sure if I understand you. Parking spots would only begin 9 metres from the corner of the cross road. If you were in a valid parking space how could you violate the by-law? My attempt at drawing is weak from hopefully you get my drift. | | | | | |____ _______________| <--- 9 metres starts here from the corner | |---------------------------| | | | | of cross road and this is where the first vaild parking space should begin. Parking close to the curb has no bearing on the ticket as long as you didn't park on the sidewalk. Parking within an inch of the curb/sidewalk is not improper.

That,s what makes me go hummmmmm. I was in a no parking spot no question. The paid parking part starts about 15 feet from the curb. also I am a courier and am allowed to park in any code 5 violation for up to 10 minutes. My concern is the 9 meters from the roadway? Many spots are allowed with-in 9 meters of roadway. I don't know maybe something unique? Cheers Viper1

I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction to track down various radar gun error codes.
Way back in March of this year I was stopped for speeding, 86kmh in a 60 Community Safety Zone, on Mayfield Rd., on the outskirts of Brampton. (Aloa school)
My husband was driving my car and passed a school bus with flashing lights. He did not realize this until he was past the bus. The driver honked at him but there were no cops nearby and he didn't get pulled over. I believe the driver or witnesses reported this and we got issued a…

Hi, last summer I was pulled over when I made a left turn from he middle lane at Harbor and Yonge Street (heading east on the Gardiner and taking the Yonge exit). I swear they nabbed about 10 people in 5 minutes. Anyways, I decided to challenge in court, my court date is in April and I have just…
In Kanda, the court established that this offence is a strict liability charge. In other words, you can offer a defence of due diligence. In Kanda the defendant explained the…
Last July I got pulled over for failure to obey stop sign at a T-intersection in my neighbourhood. After I got my trial date I requested disclosure in November. Sent in another request for disclosure in early January and in mid-January got a call to pick it up at the court office. The disclosure…
