Really impressive lot of information here. Never registered before, but used the information found on this site long in the past to successfully fight a ticket. Thanks.

Great Site
Not sure i have anything of value to contribute, was just watching the news about a motorist charged with flashing his lights to warn oncoming drivers of a speed trap. Googled topic and your site came up. Very interesting read! Thanks for hosting.

Hi.
I am a self employed dogwalker and dog trainer in Toronto.
I am here to ask a few questions regarding application of charges in accidents. I was the victim of a severe rear end collision in late November 2013 and have recently received a subpoena to attend court as a witness and am looking for support/information on what this all means...I was very pleased to see this forum here!

Great information here. Hope to not be here very often since I try not to get any tickets, except parking tickets when I'm working. But I do need some information on led lighting so I will post.

Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here!
Good day All,
I've enjoyed dropping in and reading the various forums as a guest for a while now and on occasion have had questions or thoughts on the various subjects.
With an occurrence that I observed a while back that had me curious, I decided to register and post it to hear what other's opinions or thoughts might be on it.
I look forward to continuing to spend time on OHTA.
Cheers.

Hi. I am a new member. Although I have been driving for 50 years, drivers are not the same as they used to be. I need to know more about them and the dangers they pose.
Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here! :)
Yeah, I'm new here with good reason.
lol
But the group looks helpful so I had to join.
Re: New Member? Come and say Hi and Introduce yourself here! :)
Hi All,
I just joined, moved to Ontario 2 years ago, live in the Midland area.
I'm a businessman who is on the road alot and enjoy motorcycling and off road driving.
Recently got my first speeding ticket after 29 years of driving...not sure how to proceed so searched the web and found this friendly place!
Hoping to be an asset to the forum.
Paul

Crashed Car Into Hydro Pole
I basically had a car crash. I'm a young driver under 21. I was driving from work. Had a cold, long shift, didn't eat too much (due to the cold), was working in a cold environment which didn't aid the cold. So I felt nausea while driving and felt like vomiting. My car started to slide to the left…
Disobey sign and Obscure interior of vehicle.
I was speeding. 73 in 50km. The officer charged me with disobey sign. I was coming from a 80km zone where you go down a hill, up a hill then down a hill. the 50km zone starts at the top of the hill. He got me just passed the sign coming down the hill. Is there a set distance from the 50km ahead…
Careless driving incident
Let me start this off by saying I'm a new driver (got my G2 around June). Anyway, I was taking a left turn at a yellow, got t-boned and as a result automatically at fault. (I don't personally believe this but don't feel like disputing that now). Damage was pretty big, both cars are going to get…
Summons Issued to Owner of vehicle, NOT Driver....wtf???
Ok so heres the deal on this one:

Has anyone had their speeding ticket revised to the original
Keep reading that the prosecutor has the option to amend the ticket in cases of speeding back to the original charge if it had been reduced originally. Has any one actually had this occur or is it a scare tactic of the prosecutors?

First ticket ever - Failure to Stop - How to proceed?
Good morning everyone!
This morning I was on Lakeshore, exiting on to the Gardiner at Jameson. I drive a Honda Fit and was directly behind a large cube van. As I went through the intersection, once the cube van stopped hiding the lights, I noticed that the light was yellow.
Just as I got on to the…
Failure to Stop - Notice of Trial
So this is my first ticket and I got this in September 2013 for failing to stop at the stop sign. I believe that I did stop, however the officer proceeded to hand me the ticket. I decided to go to trial and received notice of trial in a couple of days. Now my court date in tomorrow and I'm…
Pursuit rating of non-domestic vehicles
Are any non-domestic vehicles "pursuit-rated" in North America? Also have the Michigan State Police (this is relevant because apparently they have the most accepted selection/testing process) tested any of them to see if they meet their criteria? Just curious...
