Nice pic

and how many vehicles were stopped there? Was that a major drug bust/arrest happening?

Wholy *EDIT* what is going on there.

Looks like you guys got the whole force on the side of the 401.

I see some marked vics and the tahoe to.

Were you on the bridge with a laser tri pod and radio the cars when you get a speeder?

Why would you have all 8 there haha.

Looks like something you would expect to see on hwy 400 S/N.

Hwybear from what i have heard patrolls west between London and Essex in carnage alley.

Bowmanville is a long way from there NO WAY that is in his zone. Bowmanville is east of Oshawa.

Also the 401 is 2 lanes there with a center median seems like more out west towards Middlesex county.

From what it looks like the whole detachment is out. Perhaps escorting a funeral or something of the like?

Can;t see but from the looks we have 1 Tahoe, 2 white older style cruisers, a black and white vic, and ahead of them i cant tell but it looks like they have a few customers. Looks like a common kind of bridge to do speed traps.

Haha from my guess hwybear is sitting on top of the bridge with a Lidar on a tripod looking for speeders.!

Or perhaps he is up there with a giant eye glass looking for the next tim hortons truck to pass by so the officers can do a routine truck safety inspection!!!!

After all even a tim hortons rig going 102 km/hr is still speeding right? Perhaps a few doughnuts and a warning

Is any particular part of a vehicle targeted with lidar? Is it aimed at the license plate, or just anywhere on (or in :( ) a vehicle?

8 cruisers on the shoulder and 3 "clients" on the shoulder in front.

The operator of the lidar was directly under the over pass, which was cruiser #9 and I was on top of the bridge with cruiser #10 (just came up on top b/c I thought it was a neat photo). It was actually very slow on this Friday afternoon (I had time to leave for the photo) even when going for the 20 overs.

There was still 3 more units (2 marked, 1 unmarked) that stayed west of this location.

Our platoon has 7 officers and the "floating" platoon had 6 officers working on this day.

I will try to remember my own good camera for better photos next time.
