Hi all, Last night I received 2 HTA tickets and I am looking for a little help on how to proceed. I don't think I lose any points with either ticket. Last night I was pulled over in the Alnwick/Haldimand township area and at first had no idea why as I was not speeding or anything. The officer informed me that my rear lights were not working while driving. So my first ticket is for driving without proper rear lights motor vehicle HTA 62(1). While I was in park I went and took a look and he was correct, but all the rear lights would work while brakeing, signaling left/right, and with 4-ways on. So all the bulbs were ok. The officer did let me continue driving home with my 4-ways on. Changed a fuse this morning and now all working. The second ticket was a stpitity on my part for failing to provide permit. Had license and proof of insurance though. Ended up finding it under stuff in my back seat this morning. My car doesn't have any lights in the back seat just two up in the front so I couldn't find it at the time. The only thing that bothers me was what the officer said, and quote "I only give out these tickets because it is a hassel for me to look the information up on the computer". Any help would be much appreciated. Jimmer13

No points for either ticket, but any conviction can still impact your insurance rates. Quite likely if you have a resolution meeting with the Crown, they would at the very least drop one ticket in exchange for a guilty plea on the other.

I was driving north on Bathurst and turned left onto a side street into a residential area before hitting the lights at Eglinton and Bathurst. I normally do this to avoid the big line up to turn left onto Eglinton.
On the 400 extension EB towards Barrie cops like to hide out under an over pass that is Ski Trails Rd. They tag people as the come over the crest of the hill and that is 900m from where this officer was standing.
I'm confused because I knew this, saw the cop, and checked my…

Today i got caught doing 115 in a 90 at Mayfield and 410 and what I have been reading is that this offence is 3 points. Seeing this is my first offence I'm unsure if the ticket is supposed to I lost 3 points or is that just automatic. Also should I go to fight it to drop the points and just pay the…
I was (recently) involved in a traffic accident where, due to icy road conditions, I slid into oncoming traffic while making a right turn, while they were coming towards me and stopping at a stop sign. This was a residential area and there's no way I was exceeding anything over 20KM/h on…
