Ignoring court room etiquette, even after several warnings, and subsequently getting kicked out of the court is not grounds for appeal. She had every right to have you removed from the court. Next time, have some respect for the court and the court process.

Re: Pulled over with expired insurance
To be honest, not only is your explanation not 'strong' enough, it's not a defence at all.
You were stopped. You didn't provide current proof of insurance. All the other information you advised of is irrelevant to the charge.
Take it to court, speak with a prosecutor and show them that you have an up-to-date insurance card and therefore have ...

Let me get this straight.
You are travelling in the far right lane of a TWO LANE highway (two lanes in each direction each).
You changed lanes from the far RIGHT lane, into the LEFT lane (the passing lane).
Traffic happened to be traveling in this lane. As you changed into this lane, you nearly caused an accident by not yielding to the ...

I was just given the $490 fine and 3 demerit points this weekend. I have been driving 40 years with never one demerit point and I feel very strongly that I was taken advantage of in this situation. I saw the police cruiser on the shoulder with no car with the cruiser - I slowed down before passing...I noticed the policeman had his head down and I ...

Hi Jamie,
It appears that you are facing a serious charge of stunt driving. This could have some very serious consequences for your financial future and your ability to get insurance for any vehicle you may ever drive.
For this reason, and I think a lot of people will echo my advice, I very much recommend you seek legal advice in the form of a ...

The incorrect vehicle description is not a reason for a ticket to be quashed.
How is the JP supposed to know, based on the face of the ticket, that you were driving a sunbird as opposed to a sunfire (or vice versa)? Fatal errors are errors on tickets where certain information is omitted or incorrect, rendering the ticket of legally invalid (quash ...

The defence of 'well, it was a new sign' will not help you in court.
if you go to court and say, 'Yeah, I was travelling faster than they posted speed because I didn't notice the new sign', you'll have convicted yourself (having admitted to committing the offense) and you'll have done the prosecution's job.

Re: Unlicensed Driver during RIDE Check, Help!
Well, I guess this just proves the complete and utter scam the driver licensing system has become. They gave legal monopolies to drivetest centres + licensing centers and essentially milk the public for every dime possible. Its unfortunate that government programs are being judged on their intent versus their actual results. I am glad I am leaving ...

Select Option 3 and the ticket should be quashed.
If you are given a court date, attend and point out the mistake on the ticket.
This does not mean you are necessarily 'scott free'.... you may be issued another ticket by the officer upon discovering his mistake. But hopefully not.

Hi there.
After reading over your post, it doesn't look like the officer did anything obvious that would warrant the withdrawal of the ticket.

Perfectly legal.
However, I would keep it out of sight. Store it in the trunk and keep it there until when you need it. Should you/your vehicle ever be searched by the police, I would advise them that it's there for the reasons you stated. Don't say it's for your protection or anything like that.

I don't doubt what you said, but why can't he perform those checks once your vehicle is pulled over? We've all seen dozens of times, officers pull someone over instantly after they observe an infraction - so I don't find your response valid.
In general, the officer IS lessening the chance you can find a witness. And not in this case, but ...

You can make a request for disclosure in writing and sent to the prosecutor's office of the appropriate courthouse.
You can pay up up to the court date, yes.
I don't know how you expect to have the ticket canceled as a result of delays... pretty weak strategy bro. Same with the officer not showing up. My advice would be during the conversation ...

You can file for disclosure any time. But I wouldn't expect to have received disclosure on time.
If you appear for your trial date and, having not received the disclosure, you request an adjournment, the delay will be deemed to been caused by you and any future trials will likely proceed whether you are prepared to or not.
