I almost fell off my chair...someone actually said that! I agree 100%.
My reasoning (I am an MC rider) is the transmission of the noise is backwards. You do not get the main noise affect until the MC is very close and past the location. Just like a fighter jet, nice and quiet as it approaches ...

Re: Street racing?
I have heard that also, but have not seen anything in B&W. I heard it was going to be in October and apparently a 320 page document. This info I have was from a local paralegal, who said literally said "I don't have time to read all that BS, as it apparently it is a rights issue and yet driving clearing written is a priviledge".

I would think that IF you are suggesting what charge was more appropriate, and attempting to bamboozle a person with your attempt on legal BS, you would at least look up things and know that there is no such charge as "Impede Traffic" in the HTA.

As long as the JP understands the Cosine Effect don't think there is a problem. You might want to get a transcript from the court to confirm what you heard, review and then decide. IF there is an error, then you can appeal.
If your appeal is successful there will be another trial, and then it'll pretty much be a repeat trial and see if that JP ...

Not necessarily will 3 charges just be "dropped".

. After 30 days have passed from the offense date, the officer can not write you a new ticket. He would have to proceed under the rules of a part III summons, which means a Justice of the Peace would have to allow the new charge. The last time I was in court (helping a family member) the JP stopped the proceedings when she discovered the ticket ...

Ontario has a reciprical agreement with Quebec, meaning fines there come here, fines here go there..

Owing them is more of a "status" symbol...see me thing! As you can't enjoy the ride.
