1. No, I think the Justice of the Peace is who you plead guilty with explanation too. JP can reduce your fines, but they can't throw it out. You need a Trial to get your ticket thrown out.

We're dealing with an alcohol issue here, not medical. The OP did not drive to the hosiptal while impaired. He was taken there.

surrender driver's licence, ownership, insurance must all be shown upon demand. There is no 12/24/48/72 etc hr grace period in Ontario.

Option 3 would have provided you with a First Attendance date when you filed your ticket.
