Re: Cop suspended with Pay, HTA 172
He allegedly falsified evidence on three traffic stops, two of which resulted in people having their cars seized and the victims had to pay likely thousands of dollars that they'll never see again?!
If he is found guilty, couldn't the victims of his falsified evidence sue the government or police force for compensation??

Hi all,
I don't mean to Hijack this thread. Sorry just continue after this post.
I just wanted to point out, since most of the top posters are here, is that Reflections has started a new Topic for Slang/Term definitions here:

IF you have any ideas to add on that, please post there, and then ...

"I asked him why he pulled me over and he said, ` Today I'm only picking white cars ,'" recalls Breznica, who owns a white 2008 Mercedes-Benz and had his two young children in the back seat at the time. "I asked him if I was the only one driving around here with a white car, and he said yes. Honest to God, that's what he told me."

The "big" small change that I made was adding blueberries to my diet. Seriously. In addition to being loaded with antioxidants, they also change the way your body stores glucose (helps shed fat) and some studies have shown that a diet with a healthy dose of blueberries helps improve memory and cognition by 5%-6%. Also started drinking V8. Body ...

It's good he got caught. He not only endangered himself, but his daughter, and obviously other drivers on the road with him.
And the best part, hes from Michigan, so his licensing bureau there will be notified of this.

so to clarify:
I do nothing for six months. I DO NOT take the ticket to court, but instead wait for six months.....If I do not hear anything, I write the prosecutor to quash the ticket....?
How will i know if the officer writes me another ticket to supercede the first one?
The only place I believe that still uses electronic tickets is in ...

Not a bad alternative. A lot of people can not handle their beer. I have seen people go nuts just after a few beers. I can't even imagine them on the roads.motorcyclenut wrote: The only ansewer is take a taxi if your going to have a beer. Its just too risky.

Surely you are not suggesting that the horse rider decided to run the horse under the pickup truck. Why would she? Risk her life for what? Some mentioned that North Americans seem to have a lesser sense of self-preservation, but to intentionally steer the horse onto a way of a pickup truck?
Weird comment to make but ok.

Hitting animals on the road is not uncommon. We see deer on the roads here more often.
Some people do hit them. Never by choice. I myself had a few close encounters where deer just show up on the road after a slight curve on the road, and you see them at the last moment. You can't always stop, and it is a very intense moment. I have never ...

The power-tripping of the officer was nauseating, and I think most officers would've likely verified the situation quickly, offered their condolences and left the family alone.
The power trip was the real problem here. I can see a power trip if the guy was a criminal or had done something illegal besides making a right turn. But in this case the ...

I once read an article that discussed the various stages of cognitive reasoning. It was divided into 6 or 7 stages, stating that (theoretically) LEO functions at stage 4. To those in that particular level, the law is the law and nobody can get around it. It's the "I'll give my own grandma a ticket" mentality. Fortunately, only a few such as this ...
