Just pay the fine. That's pleading guilty.

No meeting and no court required.

Umm we are not bonded. I am not sure where you got that information from.

Most municipalities have a dis obey sign bylaw that is like getting a parking ticket. That is a lot of kmh's to have knocked off though.

Re: Has ANYONE ever had their ticket amended up in court?

I have seen it twice Once a red light collision. A witness in court put her on the phone at the time of running the light that was the cause of the collision. The fine went from 385 to 1000.

The second was a fail to pull over for emergency vehicles. In this case the husband and wife submitted 100% identical written statements. There fines also ...

Re: Reducing fine: Police stop car for no reason or made-up

I notice one thing. You were not there and are getting information second hand. Yet you are sure that the officer stopped for made up reason. Maybe your relative is not telling you everything.

You call it a made up reason but the officer told him at the outset he was stopped for having an expired dl and in fact it was expired so that suggests he ...

The drivers hand book is not a legal rules document. It is a book with some rules and some suggestions on how to drive safely. The overtaking is not a rule but a suggestion.

You change lanes and struck a car while doing so. That is almost textbook unsafe lane change. There does not have to be any damage or collision.

The handbook will not be a ...

I am starting to suspect that from your line of questions you lied to the police at the scene and later you cannot remember the details of what you said. That is why you are so worried about what they will ask. That you said something not true and now if asked you will not know what to answer.

Re: Speeding Ticket (possible fatal error)

love the necessity defense, You speed and were stopped and delayed even longer than had you driven at the speed limit. Think about that for a minute.

Due to the delay you did not die or need an ambulance so really there is no necessity to speed. The fact that none of those happened on the stop proves that.

Re: G2 w/ BAC above 0...this is a nightmare

The number used on the course is 15-20 mg/100ml alcohol elimination rate.

I forgot where it comes from but the second test does not have to take place at the station. It can be with a second roadside device. So the answer is maybe depending on where the nearest instrument is.

Re: No charges but insurance says I am at fault for accident

You were not occupying the lane you were in the process. The other driver was freely flowing in the lane. You had the stop sign.

That makes you at fault. You were entering the traffic lane.

For an unsafe lane change you need to already be traveling in the lane. The other driver does not have to and cannot take into account what a person might ...

Re: Driving no insurance ---- Disclosure issue

I am not sure what you think will be in the disclosure package. No insurance is a reverse onus charge and therefore the crown does not have to prove that there was no insurance your son has to prove that there was at the time of the stop. Disclosure can be a simple as a page of notes with his info and no insurance written.

A part 3 package is not ...

Plus if you lie to the insurance company they will drop you. Then you will be classed as high risk and wait until you see your premiums then.

Re: Failure to remain...at the parking lot

Actually two doors do cost over a thousand. I have a newish car and when someone traded paint the doors were completely repainted for about 1900( no dents just repaint). I would not accept a "fix". My car was going to be brought back to new condition and that means repainted. The week car rental was about right as well.

Plus there is nothing to ...

If this happened in a parking lot the charge is moot as the section does not apply to private property. The correct charge would have been fail to report.

You don't get a say in his repair either how it is done or where it is done. If he has an estimate that says that's what it costs well that's it. If you do not want to pay for the repair let insurance handle it. Now having said that that is not outrageous. Since both doors are scratched they both need to be repainted.

A ticket reduction is not automatic nor is it a right. You are not entitled to an automatic reduction. I rarely reduce tickets. I either write one or I issue a warning. But for the most part if your getting a ticket your getting it all. If the crown wants to reduce that's their business.
