Re: Officer waited to pull me over
yes...no where does it say we have to pull over in a specific time....There could be many reasons they waited...ie: to much traffic and the stop would cause major traffic jam....not safe for officer to get out...
I suggest you pay the ticket but alas many here will disagree...

Re: Failure to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision
How do you know the other vehicle was speeding? Did you have a radar...Are you trained. If not then whether you think the other vehicle was speeding is just an uninformed opinion and is not relevant. If you want to claim the other vehicle was speeding you need to prove it some how and not just speculate.

No actually you can go to jail......Most people blow off the HTA as just a ticket....But the offenses can and do include Jail time...up to 6 mos...

Driving is the least of your worry.....You could be looking at jail time...I saw someone get 30 days for failing to stop but this was for a vehicle pursuit..
Only advice I have is get a lawyer.....a good one.... But a lot of those offenses are pretty easy to prove for cops...You were driving and you will have to prove you had insurance..(btw a ...

Why would you do nothing and get convicted? Why not just go plead not guilty and Fight on your perceived fatal errors?
Remember if you do nothing you will be convicted and don't pay your liscence will be suspended for non payment...And that will cost you the fine plus 150 to get it re-instated..

Re: Electric Bike DUI Impoundment?
There is no impound...The bike was towed to get it off the street...All you have to do is pay tow fee......
The only impound is the 45 day that falls under the Ontario HTA for people convicted previously..
But the HTA penalties do not apply,
Note everyday you leave your bike in the tow yard cost about 80/day i think....Since I know when this ...

You get notes related to your stop and your stop only...so you get the test at the start of shift( or when ever that was) and then note related to your stop...You do not get to access to what was going on in between or after..
I test At start of shift and at the end of shift. I do not test after each stop... Here that seems to be sufficient...

Why is it dodgy...if the person did not pay the Ontario fine then Yeah they are suspended from driving here....
I am not sure if machine tickets work the same....I seems to vaguely remember that they do not result in suspension but go to collection agencies for payment....but not 100% sure

You are issued one DL # in Ontario for ever. the number never goes away......The tickets were issued to your quebec lisc. when you did not pay they applied the suspension to your old Ontario DL...If you had never had an ontario DL they would have generated an Ontario DL#..
This is done because the province has no authority to suspend another ...
