At the corner of Poyntz Ave. and Botham Rd North York I got a ticked for turning left. There was a stop signal and a no-turn sign from 7 to 9 AM, 4 to 6PM. I stopped but I didn't noticed the 2 lines of schedule on the other sign The police were there at 5:15PM I'm planning to use the second option "early resolution-meet with the prosecutor". I had no tickets before and I consider the fine to high for turning 45 minutes earlier than permited. Does someone have an idea of wht should I say and what not?

I just noticed that the name of one of the street on my ticket is wrong, instead of writing Botham, it says Bothom. Can I use that in my defense? and say that that road does not intercepts the other?

A minor misspelling is no big deal. Do you want to fight this ticket or just get a reduced fine? Either way request a trial review the disclosure first, even if the case against you is solid the officer might not be at trial and you get off. If he's there you will more than likely be offered a reduced charge and fine in exchange for pleading guilty.

Just wondering what does the stop sign have to do with the ticket? Were you charged with Disobey Sign or Disobey Stop Sign? Either way, you HAVE to obey BOTH signs. Just take it to trial, and follow what ynotp said.

I will fight this ticket, I expect the fine to be reduced and no demerit points. On the back of the ticket there are 3 options, the second one says: "meet with the prosecutor for early....." and the third is the trial, should I go with the second option and then, recuest a trial or go directly to trial

I would request a trial, and request the officer attend trial on the form. Online services such as fightmytickets.ca charges $12 to file this paperwork for you saving you a lot of time and hassle.

I was on my way home Wednesday March 24, 2010 coming from Burlington going to Hamilton on the QEW Niagara. I was pulled over at the bottom of the Skyway Bridge (in Hamilton) at around 11:50 pm. The OPP officer said I was going 160km/h in a 100km/h zone.
So when I was a g2 driver I was dropping a passenger in my vehicle off, I was pulled over to the side of the road indicating that I was stopped my passenger went to open the door (without checking first) I told him to wait to open the door because I car was coming he completely disregarded what I…
I didn't see a thread about this but anyway I was with a friend and he got pulled over for not slowing down for an emerg. vehicle...anyway apart from that the cop accuses him of being drunk because he smells booze and pulls out the breathalizer....he blows it and an A pops up on the screen, then…
I have been waiting for about 2 month's for paper work regarding a trail date, and when i contacted the agency i'm using to help fight the ticket they said it has not being filed with the court yet. They did say the officer has 6 months to file the ticket. After a bit of research i have found that…
My wife and I bought a moped for our son who recently turned 16 and got his M1, he uses it to get to school, his girlfriends and his Saturday afternoon job. When we registered and insured it we put everything in my name because the deal with him was that if he…
I was on my way into work this a.m. moving eastbound on the QEW/403 at the Ford plant and got hit with a mindfield of debris coming from a dump truck about 5-6 car lengths ahead of me. Two chips on the drivers' side of the windshield and possible other damage occurred as a result of this. It was…
