Disobey sign HTA 182(2)

Unread post by nis »

Hello everyone.. I got my first ticket yesterday for making a left turn at victoria park ave and pachino blvd around 8 45am. There is a sign that indicates that you are not allowed to make left turns from 7-9 am. I had an interview to go to and I made the left turn without thinking. The sign is in clear view and it is around my area as well. The fine is $110 and I'm not sure if I'd be getting any demerit points off (it does not say on the ticket). I only have my G2 and I don't want this to impact my insurance. Can this be dropped easily? What defense do I have? Thank you in advance for all your help!

It carries 2 demerit points. There is no easy defence, you'll just have to read through the forums and see what strategies other posters have used.
