I was sitting in the back of the car when the RIDE program shows up. The cop saw that i did not have my seatbeat on and gave me a $200 Ticket ($240 total payable). I was womdering how you could fight this ? Could i bring it to court and say i had my seatbeat on and happened to take it off when we stopped for the program ? Also ... Additional Details also i had a small amount of marijuana on me and i just forked it over, when he called his partner over, his partner just talked to me and said i was basically going to get away with it and all i did was just throw it down the sewer. does that affect anything as well ?

If that's the truth. As for the marijuana, the fact that you were already given a break on a Criminal offence probably means it's less likely the Crown will offer you any type of deal on your seat belt ticket.

+1 Cop did the OP favour by telling him to throw the weed down the sewer... I'd just pay the $240 if it were me.
