Help needed! Rescheduling my trial date
Hello,
My court date is at Dec 15, 2009. And I'd like to reschedule it to another date. Is it too late? Can I still do it? I'm planning to tell them I have a very important emergency business trip coming that I cannot miss. Would that work? Please tell me the most effect procedure of how to do it.

You can ask the JP directly during court to reschedule (called continuance). As a safe bet, i'd call the court and ask if they received any communications from your lawyer.
