I was driving 50cc scooter near my appartment house with out registration ,licence and insurance. Reason is I just decided to buy a cheap scooter on weekends and register it and get my licence on Monday. On Saturday, I was jpractesing by riding around the parking lot .I got pull over for not having my scooter without licence plates and I got 3 green tickets and 1 yellow( invintation to the court or summon) I'm 17 , and it was my first day of riding this scooter. I have no idea what to do , I was only driving around the parking lot and then I decided to park my scooter in front of my appartment building and while I was crossing the road ,cops caught me. Eventually I have 3 tickets on 760$ and summon on April. What should I do or how I can get excused for driving around the parking lot???Just got in a wrong place at the wrong time .
Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insurance
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
These are all very serious charges, you should seek legal counsel immediately.
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
Your charges stem from using your scooter to cut across roads, which you kind of glossed over.
You need at the very least a M-Class license with a limited speed restriction. M with no restrictions would be even better. You need your plate (green limited speed), insurance, helmet, etc.
While harsh, the officer has every right to lay these charges on you. I'm going to assume the officer saw something he really didn't like to want to send this kind of message. Then again, I could be wrong.
You should probably find some representation. You're really going to need it. That $750 you're worried about now is going to look like chump change after all is said and done. Good luck.
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
They wrote my ticket on my G2 driver's licence. Would that be possible if they gonna transfer all tickets on my new M1 licence ? or it's not making many difference. I don't want my car insurance raise due to unregistered scooter driving and no insurance on it
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
It will not make a difference on your licence record; you only get ONE and it lists the different types of vehicles you are allowed to operate.
As stated already: your best outcome is going to be if you hire someone.
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
Ok , I will hire the laywer, but how low they can drop the monetary penalty, considering that It was my first day of buying this scooter and it was within 80 meters to my house. I was just practice I didn't intend to drive on roads without insurance

Not sure how low they can go with it. That depends on the JP you get, or the deal you strike with the Prosecutor, etc. I'm not sure you need a lawyer, but definitely a paralegal. If you do get a lawyer, make doubly sure he/she specializes in traffic offences. If you show that in the mean time you've registered, insured and plated the vehicle, etc., they may have some leniency.

yeah , thank you , everyone. I'm just f****. Even officer told me that I'm f*****. I will talk to paralegal on Monday. I'm planning to tell them that it was my first experience, I'm young , unemployed, going to the University, don't want to financialy struggle due to severe punishment. I would rather ask them to suspend my licence forever than paying off 6,250 for ticket. I just destoyed my future.

Be careful what you wish for. Suspended license and 3 tickets will take 5 years to clear up (i could be wrong but 3 years for tickets and 5 years for a suspended license under an insurance's eyes). I believe with a G2 your license will be suspended as you fall under the novice license category.
Your best bet is you should have done your research before driving that scooter. It doesn't matter if it's 10 or 20m away from your home. The moment you let that vehicle on public road, it must have all proper documents or else it's deems illegal.
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
Today I got everything regested , insured and plated on my name. I'm really hoping that the judge will understand my case. I will try to reduce ticket to a minimum fine or trial for lower ticket. I got everything insured within 3 days! Seems like I will have to ask for a credit as soon as I will turn 18 , I don't have a parents here.
Re: Driving 49cc scooter , no plates , licence , no insuranc
Tickets/points may clear up in the eyes of the law, but insurance wants your driving history over the past 5 years.

Double Talk??
So many avid drivers on here have a huge beef for "follow too close", "unsafe lane changes" and "inexperienced drivers (G1, G2)".
Yet those same people offer advice to these drivers to get off their tickets when they finally get caught.....that just doesn't make sense!
First Timer...Please help!
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.
I got a hand-held device ticket on Thursday March 16. $490 and 3 demerit points. The officer was hiding on a street and I drove by him with my phone in my hand.
Was just wondering if it's worth fighting it?
Has anybody got their points…
Received 3 demerit points in Quebec on zero tolerance
I had a speeding ticket in May 2013 which brought me to 9 demerit points out of 15. I received a letter and had to attend an interview. Due to a history of speeding tickets and a previous interview a few years prior, the interviewer decided to put me on zero tolerance for a year. Meaning if I…
Question about Red Light Camera on Highway 7 and Bathurst !
Around 3 months ago my friend told me that he thinks he ran Red Light on highway 7. ok his car was 1-2 meters away the Stop Line when the Light turned RED he then couldn't stop so he ran because Speed Limit on HWY7 is 80km/h and you all know none of drivers do under 80km/h they always at 83-85km/h,…
Following to Closely to a unmarked Cop Car
Today I was pulled over by a cop, and he told me that I was following to closely. There was no collision - I was following him, and I had kept enough distance (I would have atleast 1 car length or more) - when he turned on the lights and siren, I pulled over - this means that I was able to brake in…
136km in 100km zone, 401 W, Cornwall, Aircraft Enforcement
Per the subject, I was stopped just over a week ago. I mentioned to the officer that I was going with traffic, and couldn't have been going over 125km. He mentioned that I was spotted by aircraft, and that he is just the messenger for aircraft patrol.
At this point, I have a 4 point ticket, $271…
Speeding and Follow Too Closely
I'm writing for myself this time.
This morning, I was on the WB 407 on my way to school. For about 15 km, I was following an OPP SUV in the left lane. The officer was generally driving between 120 and 125, and I made sure to keep a safe distance. Before I go any further, yes, I know I was speeding,…
Ticket not submitted in 18 days
Hi,
I was recently charged with a speeding ticket and driving with a suspended license. I was given the tickets on Feb 3rd and have since hired a paralegal. The paralegal asked when my court/summons date was. I cannot seem to find my tickets so I called the court and gave them my driver's license to…
Spelling error on proof of insurance - Ticketed
Hi Everyone
How easy would it be to beat a ticket for "failing to provide proof of insurance" for the simple reason of a street name misspelling on my proof of insurance? The street is a woman's name, ending in ie, but the insurance slip was spelled with a y. In my mind this is not a failure to…
