Re: Accident in left turn lane

I have seen a lot of crashes like you describe.
Most times it is caused because one or the other driver cannot see the other car.
I truly hate it when a truck stops to let me turn. I cannot see what is coming.
You really have to take turns like that with great care.

Luck

Re: Driving protocol

The thing that gets me the angriest is left or right turning cars/trucks that will not go all the way into their lane.
Their rear end blocks the through lanes.

And why is a cab allowed in HOV lane? (least efficient vehicle).

Re: Driveing protocol

I hear you. I drive back and forth every day from work now and its aggressive, ppl tailgating me in 90 zones, so they can get home like what 5 minutes quicker?

But Salut to you for having a no accident driving experience in your 40 years of driving!

We need more smart and patient drivers, everyone drives so aggressive now.

I am glad you ...

Driving protocol

I have 40 years of driving (cars,5-tons,rigs,street bikes,go-carts,
off road bikes and tow motors.)
I have been in no accidents over these 5 -6 million km's.(likely double km's).
I have always used the 1 car length for every 16 kph protocol.(as a distance between me and the next car.)

Today 2 things happened today.

1rst/ I am going at the speed ...

Re: Suspended License

Hello. I have a G2, and I received my first speeding ticket at the end of February. I paid it off, but got a letter this week saying that my license is going to be suspended for 30 days because I am a novice driver. I'm just wondering is there anyway of getting this reversed or possibly only be suspended for 15 days? I work 5 days a week and drive ...

Re: Expired Sticker

Every since I've gotten divorced about 10 years ago I've accumulated about $2000 worth of tickets every year because when my son was younger and being a single Dad I could only drop him off so early but by then parking at the GO was full and I would have to park illegally. It was just a fact and every year I paid them off when I had to. A couple ...

Insurance is required.

Anyone can pay for it.

The main driver must be listed on the policy.

An occasional driver would be covered if over 25.

I am not a big one for going to forums but in this case, thought i would try it out to see if anyone could offer any help. Wow...no wonder on line forums get a bad name. In a forum which is designed to discuss all aspects of the Highway traffic act, everyone wants to convict my daughter based simply on my account of things - good thing the justice ...

Re: How quickly things can change

That is scary.

About 2 weeks ago I was driving west on 401 around meadowvale. (right lane at 80 kph)

I caught a flash of head-light from left.
I looked in rear-view mirror to see a car pass by my rear bumper straight into the cement lane divider.
I thought he would nick me but it must have been more then a centimeter as all I heard was the very ...

paul1913 wrote:I have heard of this mentioned in court on an unrelated trail. The 14 day grace period if you have an existing policy with the company it covers vehicles you purchase.

I have never been able to locate any documentation about this.
You may need to contact your agent it is under SPF1

overdue parking tickets

I have about 30 unpaid parking tickets from Toronto.Therefore I can't get a plate for a car.

I have gone through the JP thing two times to give me time to pay.

That did not work.

Now I could pay off 2-3 a week until it is over.

If I visit MTO they want the whole amount and I do not have it.

Is there a way to pay these off bit by bit?

Cheers ...

Re: driving no insurance

since I owned another vehicle my new truck was covered under the 14 day policy.
I just got my renewal last week, pulled it out, no mention of a 14 day policy anywhere in the fine print. I have never heard of this before this post either....so does anyone have a link to this information??

King street you have to do right/right/right to get your left.lol

I had a similar ticket once(the cop said to fight it)

I had a first attendance meeting. I told her the cop said the charge would be dropped. She freaked out a bit.
Saying he should have said that.

She dropped it their though.

My guess is they do not want anyone to bring things ...

Re: Just receive a ticket for no insurance while selling my

I stand corrected you needed to use a "dealer service plate"

A Service Plate may be used:

on a trailer or motor vehicle other than a motorcycle or motor-assisted bicycle for purposes related to the repair, road testing, customization or modification of the vehicle, if the vehicle is in the possession of the person to whom the service plate is ...

Re: Just receive a ticket for no insurance while selling my

If you had a valid dealer plate and permission to use it you had insurance.
Simple as that.

See if you can bring the plate and insurance document with you to trial.

Ask the officer to identify them.

No brain er.

Good luck
