I have seen a lot of crashes like you describe.
Most times it is caused because one or the other driver cannot see the other car.
I truly hate it when a truck stops to let me turn. I cannot see what is coming.
You really have to take turns like that with great care.

Re: Driving protocol
The thing that gets me the angriest is left or right turning cars/trucks that will not go all the way into their lane.
Their rear end blocks the through lanes.
And why is a cab allowed in HOV lane? (least efficient vehicle).

Re: Driveing protocol
I hear you. I drive back and forth every day from work now and its aggressive, ppl tailgating me in 90 zones, so they can get home like what 5 minutes quicker?
But Salut to you for having a no accident driving experience in your 40 years of driving!
We need more smart and patient drivers, everyone drives so aggressive now.
I am glad you ...

I have 40 years of driving (cars,5-tons,rigs,street bikes,go-carts,
off road bikes and tow motors.)
I have been in no accidents over these 5 -6 million km's.(likely double km's).
I have always used the 1 car length for every 16 kph protocol.(as a distance between me and the next car.)

Hello. I have a G2, and I received my first speeding ticket at the end of February. I paid it off, but got a letter this week saying that my license is going to be suspended for 30 days because I am a novice driver. I'm just wondering is there anyway of getting this reversed or possibly only be suspended for 15 days? I work 5 days a week and drive ...

Every since I've gotten divorced about 10 years ago I've accumulated about $2000 worth of tickets every year because when my son was younger and being a single Dad I could only drop him off so early but by then parking at the GO was full and I would have to park illegally. It was just a fact and every year I paid them off when I had to. A couple ...

About 2 weeks ago I was driving west on 401 around meadowvale. (right lane at 80 kph)

overdue parking tickets
I have about 30 unpaid parking tickets from Toronto.Therefore I can't get a plate for a car.
I have gone through the JP thing two times to give me time to pay.
That did not work.
Now I could pay off 2-3 a week until it is over.
If I visit MTO they want the whole amount and I do not have it.
Is there a way to pay these off bit by bit?
Cheers ...

If you had a valid dealer plate and permission to use it you had insurance.
Simple as that.
See if you can bring the plate and insurance document with you to trial.
Ask the officer to identify them.
No brain er.
Good luck

Re: 4 summons
If you have valid insurance on a vehicle and purchase another vehicle the second vehicle is covered with
the same coverage as your prime vehicle. 14 days to do the change over.
It does not matter whether plated or not. You need the bill of sale though.
It is even better that you have a 10 day permit.
You did nothing wrong.

If you call your insurance they put a binder on the car for the ten days.(you called right?)
All the other charges you have proof that you did not do.
You have a good chance with this.

Re: Too many points all of a sudden
I agree with HWYBEAR on this.
Pay all fines.
You could fight them through an agent just to extend the time factor.(then pay)
That could take up to 11 months. Leaving just 13 months to hope you quit speeding.
Or have the agent fight the one most likely to win if it keeps you below the point mark.

A 20 kph zone must have some reason for so slow.
I believe double the limit is automatic careless.(OP said 40 kph)
That is what speed has to do with it.
