The sign is there and it's on the post and on right side of the road.
I think it's black english letter on white background, that's why i was thinkink of bilingual defence. Are you absolutely sure there's a sign? I don't remember the right turn prohibition. I do remember joining a very long left turn line and debating turning right and doing a u ...

Re: Allen road and Eglinton Ave. - No right turn on Red Light???
Just a side note related but not to this particular situation.
If stopped at a red light, and then a green arrow appears to turn left....no motor vehicle can make a turn to the right while the red is showing.
Just and FYI I don't think I would interpret it that way. Did you experience a ruling recently??

Re: Interesting article about court appearances. Opinions?
When I was in Manhatten I was amazed, everybody slows down or practically stops at green lights. I guess they're too scared to hit wayward pedestrians and deal with the lawsuit that follows.

Re: NOTICE of SUSPENSION OF DRIVERS LICENCE
This is conjecture on my part but likely your licence was suspended and you got a notice in the mail from MTO. They would have sent it to the address on your driver's licence. The letter was likely returned and they could not find you. The officer DID find you and handed you the notice. You were actually lucky because if you were driving and they ...

Re: Ban the Cell Phones Law
I remember a 20/20 show years ago that showed how F-15 fighter pilots were trained and how dangerous it could be. Sometimes they would pass out from the G-force. One interesting thing was the low altitude warning was a woman's voice. An Air Force study found that fighter pilots responded better to a woman's voice than a man's.

If I am convicted and therefore I have to pay the fine, which value it would be: The correct value, which implies that the JP has amended the set fine value or the wrong set fine that is in the ticket? If I will not appear to the trial then the JP could not amend the ticket. Could he?

Re: Interesting article about court appearances. Opinions?
Anyways our low speed limit is making lane discipline hell.
Lane discipline has little to do with our speed limit - it's the lack of laws and lack of enforcement, along with a general selfish driving attitude from major urban areas like Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, etc., that is spreading like a cancer. When I first learned to drive ...

Re: Stop Sign-First appearance- Error on ticket. Chance to win?
If the ticket is quashed you will never here about it again. If the JP is not on the ball and convicts you, you will get a notice of conviction in the mail demanding you pay the fine. You have 15 days from that point to file an appeal. (you will also have to pay the fine or apply to the court to suspend the fine pending appeal.)

I'm assuming you got the summons as a company director and the company was charged?
You are going to have to show a lot of diligence on this one. How did the driver get the keys and make it out of the yard? Or put another way, what steps did the company take to make sure an unplated truck could not be driven?

Re: seat belts in taxi cabs
There's a seatbelt safety blitz going on right now. Taxi drivers are exempt but not their passengers. There is an exemption for medical reasons under s. 106(6). It's probably your best bet to explore this.
A passenger not wearing a seatbelt does not affect your driving record and their are no demerit points.

Re: Speeding 22km/h over the posted speed limit.
As well I am guessing from your website that the 401 would have some by-law to make it so it can go 100km/h and not 80km/h... since I was caught in a posted 100km/h zone, would they have to show that it was a 100km/h zone? As well as show me the by-law if I request full disclosure?
