Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

lidar is the scariest one.

Sometimes they go on the highway in black unmarked cars late at night and sit way ahead and aim at you.

I guess the next car i buy will be black.

Reflections absolutely in day light radar traps are not hard to find. If your paying attention you can see them. In the GTA area and outside the medians are all concrete ...

Re: Speeding 22km/h over the posted speed limit.

Bear your an officer.

You may not agree but lets say the limit where you were was 115-130.

Wouldn't that give you more time to focus on the really fast, really slow drivers, and perhaps other things. Then maybee more would drive closer to the speed limit and you and other officers could maybe spend more time on lane discipline, unsafe and ...

Well Squishy when you said if the flow of traffic gets up to 140 in the left lane you just move over to the right.....

This has happened to me i am only going to go a speed i feel appropriate i have no problem lettings others pass.

I always lead by example as soon as i pass i move over.

Re: checking the ticket

Good question. This is not my expertise though but i know things such as wrong fine amount, incorrect data can be considered as Fatal Errors?

There was another guy who got a ticket for 142 on the 401 he posted earlier in the week.

He had the wrong fine amount and others suggested this would count as a Fatal Error.

I also love the tall concrete wall cause the officer can't pull a U and run around to flash his lights on after he gets you with the spectre.

It is absolutely necessary in Major Cities.

A transport can go through the grass like nothing. The QEW is scary they still have those wood posts with the aluminum, or w.e it is.

A big transport can fly ...

Sorry squishy i would never go 100 in the left lane my apologies.

Sometimes i have a good laugh being the slowest vehicle on the road as everything riding on wheels passes me.

A few times honking thats a bit much.

Although usually if i am on the highway people will just race around me.

Absolutely fight this this charge is bazarr.

He got a ticket for 118 km/hr on the 401.

He went to court the Judge said he was breaking the limit by going even 1 km/hr faster.

See here is another video with a guy testing spectre 4 vs STi Driver.

In this one he can not detect it.

These videos confuse me.

So is it the Spectre 4+ now that can get all them?

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

And how are we defining "detectable."

Sure any SMWD or radar detector is detectable. But this gets into a discussion between Laser Jammers vs Radar Detectors.

And if you meant detectable as in you could see it sure. If you can see it that is detecable.

If you mean detectable such as you detecting it with your spectre okay. But no there is some ...

Take it to court.

I don't know where your from or if your familiar with that area.

15 over in this area you will get caught. Anything west of London and Around Chatam 15 over they will still take you.

Around the GTA you need to push 130 to get a ticket. Here if you keep it around 120-129 you should be fine.

Comparing a murder investigation to having a SMWD 2 different things.

His local detachment is right off Exit 282 on the 401.
It is just north of the 401 on exit 282.

Maybee drop by and see if they will answer some of your questions.

Re: Unmarked vs. Marked cruisers

Very true reflections.

The officers just do their job if they are told to write more tickets they pressured to do it.

The way i see some of these HSD officers drive around the GTA you would seem to think that they don't care about speeding either until they issue a big ticket.

Thanks for clarification bear.

So for example you pull someone over for stunt driving "50 over" and this guy was also weaving in and out of lanes like crazy so you might give him careless driving.

So he would get both fines his insurer would see both fines but he would lose 6 points because stunt has 5 but since careless has 6 they take the ...

Ya i see the flow of traffic get to that speed all the time between 130-140 depending on hwy and other conditions.

Most people wont cruise at over 150 just cause the added stress on the engine, way more fuel, and the tow truck.

Even in a 4 cylinder car the same i have never driven an 8 and rarely a 6.

Re: Insurance Issues...

Squishy i am going to have to agree with you on that.

As far as gas prices go even if the highways didn't have a limit like the autobahn system there is no way i would max it out all the time.

The gas begins to cost way to much at speeds like that. Even if we had no speed limits many would not "max out" due to gas prices and costs.
