Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

lidar is the scariest one.

Sometimes they go on the highway in black unmarked cars late at night and sit way ahead and aim at you.

I guess the next car i buy will be black.

Reflections absolutely in day light radar traps are not hard to find. If your paying attention you can see them. In the GTA area and outside the medians are all concrete ...

Re: Speeding 22km/h over the posted speed limit.

Bear your an officer.

You may not agree but lets say the limit where you were was 115-130.

Wouldn't that give you more time to focus on the really fast, really slow drivers, and perhaps other things. Then maybee more would drive closer to the speed limit and you and other officers could maybe spend more time on lane discipline, unsafe and ...

Re: Speeding 22km/h over the posted speed limit.

Well Squishy when you said if the flow of traffic gets up to 140 in the left lane you just move over to the right.....

This has happened to me i am only going to go a speed i feel appropriate i have no problem lettings others pass.

I always lead by example as soon as i pass i move over.

Then some of those parked in the left lane go ...

Re: checking the ticket

Good question. This is not my expertise though but i know things such as wrong fine amount, incorrect data can be considered as Fatal Errors?

There was another guy who got a ticket for 142 on the 401 he posted earlier in the week.

He had the wrong fine amount and others suggested this would count as a Fatal Error.

Re: Bad Wreck down the road...

I also love the tall concrete wall cause the officer can't pull a U and run around to flash his lights on after he gets you with the spectre.

It is absolutely necessary in Major Cities.

A transport can go through the grass like nothing. The QEW is scary they still have those wood posts with the aluminum, or w.e it is.

A big transport can fly ...

Re: Bad Drivers?

Sorry squishy i would never go 100 in the left lane my apologies.

Know sometimes if i know the overpass or see the lights, etc i always pull into the right most lane and drive the limit.

Sometimes i have a good laugh being the slowest vehicle on the road as everything riding on wheels passes me.

it has happened before where i was the only one ...

Re: Bad Drivers?

A few times honking thats a bit much.

Although usually if i am on the highway people will just race around me.

But i am the last guy on earth to park in the left lane.

This always happens when some A hole up the road has a mile of cars behind him.

As i said most times along the 401 at off peak times when the flow of traffic is anything less ...

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

Well bear now i heard when you get a hit the best idea is just to turn off the detector

Beep, beep, beep, beeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppppppppppppp

Ah now its time to unplug it, remove the suction cups, turn off anything else, and put it away!

Sorry my bad it seems the Escort 9500 is now detecable by the Spectre IV+ RDD.

Although STi Driver ...

Re: Speeding 22km/h over the posted speed limit.

Absolutely fight this this charge is bazarr.

Does anyone remember that teacher Gord Thompson or something.

He got a ticket for 118 km/hr on the 401.

He went to court the Judge said he was breaking the limit by going even 1 km/hr faster.

I suggest this and other people start doing it.

Go on our major highways get a few people and go EXACTLY ...

Re: passing emergency vehicle

Sorry just happened to notice this thread.

bear will know this.

Last week on 401 there was an accident at side of the road.

He has his lights on so i moved over didnt want that ticket, thats for sure!

Now what happens if the officer is at the side of the road and out of his car but he has no lights on??? Lets say he has pulled someone over ...

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

See here is another video with a guy testing spectre 4 vs STi Driver.

In this one he can not detect it.

These videos confuse me.

So is it the Spectre 4+ now that can get all them?

Re: Fines - Laser Detectors & Laser Jammers

And how are we defining "detectable."

Sure any SMWD or radar detector is detectable. But this gets into a discussion between Laser Jammers vs Radar Detectors.

And if you meant detectable as in you could see it sure. If you can see it that is detecable.

If you mean detectable such as you detecting it with your spectre okay. But no there is some ...

Re: Bad Wreck down the road...

Good point Radar i have seen this many times.

Women on cell phones changing lanes not even paying attention.

Those people really bug me, they check their email's make phone calls and do not even care at all. They are driving half in one lane.

These people deserve Careless driving charges.

I mean come on atleast if your gonna talk on your cell ...

Re: Bad Drivers?

So guys is it me or i am the only one in this forum that seems to think our limits our way to low.

I mean i cant drive the limit. Even in the right lane at 100 i get honked at by trucks.

I mean the Police, transports, old people, 4 cylinders, SUV's, Vans, Ice cream trucks and everything on 4 wheels or more seems to drive more than 100 on our 400 ...

Re: Bad Drivers?

Guys i couldn't agree more.

Infact ill admit it. I love those dam OPP cruisers. When i see one i am such a bad driver. They are so distracting. Last time i saw one i went buy him at like 80 with my window down trying to see what device he was using and check out his spectre.

Mind you those cars look really good with the light bars.

There ...
