I think Fantino needs to make a law in which a emergency or quick stop that leads to lose control of the car be made illegal and have heavy penalties this will slow people down.

Also there should be some legislation against hitting trees. This could be like some form of DUI that could heavily fine someone for hitting a tree.

Just driving today on the 401. For those that clog the left lane open upset people will drive into the right lane to get around them.

Now with transports going to be slowing the left lane and screwing with the flow of traffic even more i am gonna be scared to see how desperate these people get to pass.

The 407 is great i was just pointing out its wrong to use public money the government took from people to build a highway and privatize the profits.

The 407 is great but costly, people drive fast on that highway. I have been passed many times people going well over 120-140.

I find its more people in a hurry driving expensive cars.

Heres another, have the province by back the 407 to take the load off the 401.

They taxed us to pay for it and then they sold it for a pirvate company to make profits off it thats just wrong.

Anyone can build a highway and charge a toll for it. But thats just wrong when they make the public pay for it and then private the profits......

I know but the problem here is the limit is slow. People think its a joke and dont pay attention. They think they can do anything on the highway as long as they dont get a speeding ticket.

1. No more ending right lanes
2. Set a realistic speed limit with 85th percentile (120-130 on 401 ex, or a unrestricted limit where possible)

My point here is by limiting the speed of the trucks your changing the flow of traffic and messing with the speed of it. It also plays with the laness. It causes problems. And this is just going to lead to slowing down the highway followed by more tailgating, aggressive upset drivers, and as a result passing on the right or using dangerous methods ...

May i ask this question regarding transport trucks limited to 105 km/h. Moving road blocks or safety?

IMO it isnt speed that kills. I find transport trucks infact help keep the road going. With cars that choose to not move to the right and slow down the middle lane the trucks would try to pass in their passing lane therefore the slower traffic ...
