What i was saying is any dumb ass with a bit of money i am guessing less than 200 $ can go out and buy some LED's to impersonate an officer.
I am talking about some kid who would go buy them for his charger so he can race down the left lane and get everyone to move out of his way.
Most people wouldn't try to impersonate a marked vic. But any ...

I'm pretty sure there aren't any. But, click on the "Demerit points" link on the bottom of this page, and see if the subsection you were charged with ("Contrary to: HTA XX.(X)") is NOT on the list to make double-sure.pinch wrote:Any demerit points for this offense?

Re: $325 ticket for not stopping
Well, first off, send in your ticket (or drop it off at the court location) saying that you will dispute the charge, as well as the Notice of Intention to Appear (you can get it here ). That is Option 3 on the ticket. Scan/photocopy/photograph the ticket prior to that for your purposes. Write down all exactly what had happened with that ticket ...

that being the case, in 1.5 seconds the faster driver will move ahead by 2083 mm (2.1 metres). In the end the numbers are such that they do not differ much from what I have...
Again, going those speeds, which are reasonable for 400-series, you simply do not see such a situation. On the city roads, where a truck pulling up on you is much more ...

Printing 20's costs the same as 5's or 100's... With these inflation rates they need re-introduce the $1000 bills though, we will need them soon enough.

Legal tender laws are funny.
They're is laws so you can not ask for payment in a certain type of money like quarters or pennies or nickles.
This is one way the government loves to hide inflation. In other countries as the government began to inflate the money supply people began to realize the money itself had more intrinsic value in the worth ...

When did the offence take place? You have 15 days after that to file for challenges. Wait a day or two if you can, then file to dispute the tickets. Make sure to request disclosure.
Also, while your head is still fresh, make you own notes about what had happened.

A pedestrian has a 90% chance of surviving if they are hit by a car at 32 km/h, but a 90% chance of dying if hit by a car at 65 km/h. Makes you wonder why residential side-streets have 50 km/h limits. Yeah, pedestrians shouldn't be in the middle of the road, but little kids will be more likely to chase after a soccer ball on a quiet sidestreet as ...

Good work with the calculations, racer. :D
One more variable to add. Let's say a cargo van weighing, oh, say, 6000 pounds is travelling 60 km/h. What would his stopping distance be compared to a Civic/Corolla/Cavalier that weighs half as much, but is going 80 km/h?
Also... couple of other things to mention...

I'm 6'0" and I never have any trouble fitting into any larger vehicle. Japanese subcompacts (Corolla, Civic), do not have enough headroom for me, and legroom is too small. But Chevys like Malibu or Impala, Pontiacs G6, Grand AM, Grand Prix, Bonneville all provide an ample room for my persona. Even Camry and Accord do a great job.

In case 1, you should be able to have all 3 tickets dismissed
1. Car's front bumper is obviously not designed for placing the license plate on the outermost part. To be honest, there are 3 cars in my family and ALL of them have the plates dead in the centre. Never has been a problem with anyone... What is the subsection on that ticket? I can bet it ...

Re: So what...it's only 5km/hr more
If the reaction time is approx 0.1 s, in that time the driver at 113 will travel exactly 139 mm (5.5 in) ahead of the 108 guy. If you take the reaction time to be 0.2 seconds, that's 278 mm (11 in)... When you are taking 50 m to stop, that difference in negligible, I also did round well more up when calculatin for 113 guy as opposed to 108 dude.

One day a guy was driving with his 4-year-old daughter and beeped his car horn by mistake. She turned and looked at him for an explanation.
He said, "I did that by accident."
She replied, "I know that, daddy."
He replied, "How'd you know?"
The girl said, "Because you didn't say 'A-HOLE!' afterwards!"

A man is giving evidence in court and the defendant's barrister asks him
"How far from the accident were you when it happened?"
He replied
"36 feet, 2 and a quarter inches"
"Nonsence, how can you be so precise?"
"Well, I knew some bloody fool would ask me, so I measured it!"
