What was the speed limit? It's very important you check the fine on the ticket, if it's incorrect then you could have the ticket quashed.
It appears you've received some disclosure? Was there evidence of when the officer tested his radar unit? Did you request disclosure? What did you request for? What did you receive?

If you retain legal counsel, they can do all of the above without you being present. They will act on your behalf, and will do what's in your best interest.
Unless you give them specific instructions like, "no plea-deals, go to trial".

The lines painted on the ground are meaningless, unless there is a sign that says do not pass

However, if a collision occurs... it's covered in the Fault Determination Rules: http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/e ... 0668_e.htm

Re: Stunt Driving
Although you're requesting for a good firm, speeding is one of the most difficult charges to beat going through a full blown trial.
In most cases these firms will take $1000 and get you a plea-deal for +49km/hr.
This is something you can do on your own.

Re: Failing to move, where possible for emergency vehicle
Enforcement officers have to be pragmatic when it comes to enforcing laws while they're en-route to an emergency.
What's more important? Driving as quickly and safely as possible to a emergency (ie. home invasion, armed robbery, hospital, school hostage)... or stopping you for going 105 in a 100 zone?
There are plenty of decisions on CanLII ...

Re: Failing to move, where possible for emergency vehicle
#1 you should only be temporarily in the left most lane in order to pass vehicles to your right. At no point should you be "travelling" in the left most lane unsure of whether there are vehicles to your right. You should have heard the sirens and seen the emergency lights well before they were right on top of you. For me this spells out very poor ...

Option 2 is generally the way to go here, you can get the fine heavily reduced most likely around $100 in the City of Toronto. It can get further reduced by a JP if you can show financial difficulty.

You should keep all your questions to one thread: http://www.ontariohighwaytrafficact.com/topic2871.html
Once your 11b fails, you will be arraigned and go straight to trial if you plead not-guilty; you'll have to appeal after the trial is over. At which point things will get very expensive with transcripts because it will include your motion ...

2) What do you do if there's no opportunity to turn before the light turns yellow? And even more so, what if cars blow through the yellow and red light and you now cannot turn and are blocking traffic in the opposite direction?

What ever copy that you found online will be inadmissible in court. Once you get your trial date, you can submit a disclosure request to the prosecutor's office asking for a copy of the manual.
