Re: Police Entrapment

I'm sorry, and I don't mean to be rude but SERIOUSLY, are you stupid?

You where SPEEDING and you admit that you where, why in God's name do you speed when there is a Police car right next to you.

If you do 101k's you are SPEEDING, whether you get a ticket or not is another matter.

How I learned is that if you see a cop car, in the middle lane ...

Tickets/points may clear up in the eyes of the law, but insurance wants your driving history over the past 5 years.

Re: Failing to move, where possible for emergency vehicle

hmmmm.....

(back home and even here) I always try and get outta the way for an EV, that is SAFELY, I don't swerve recklessly nor mount curbs at speed.
One day that EV could be coming to save my life or wife or daughters.

EV drivers in the UK are TAUGHT how to drive through and around traffic, (I assume here as well) so IN a worst case scenario ...

Re: Failing to move, where possible for emergency vehicle

Actually what that biker is a douche and what he is doing in the video is illegal (at least in the UK)

I know people who do that, and I've seen cars CUT up people who do.

Your not supposed to follow an emergency vehicle like that, in the UK its a fine and points,
HERE, that I don't know

BUt it sounded like that vid was in Australia

Re: delusion on this board.

All I have to add, is that

1) after my speeding ticket, I drove the speed limit, for about a month, then realized that my journey time to work increased two fold, and I experienced the same thing. I did resort to brake checking, but under advisement, have stopped, just in case I get a unmarked or on dash cam.

2) I drive with the flow of traffic ...

Re: HTA provision for variable speed limits is active...

txs RI,
I'm liking this version of it better, i.e. the "upper speed limit" is the 120, as opposed to in the UK< where the already 70 was the upper limit

coolski !

The long and short of it is, we'll have to see how this one plays out. The provision is there now, it may be used or it may not. Quebec was going to test variable speed limits, which ...
